Need new recipes the slaw needs some mayo and light sugar. Then rice was bland but, you need something that does not add salt. Fries were salty. Fish was warm not crispy at all. Then the tarter sauce was runny. It needs some mayo and more dill (HERB). THEN OK. Also I had walleye it should be crispy and caper sauce was runny very little lemon flavor. Greenbeans were older and too undercooked. That is between the cook and owner. Bring it up a notch and we'll see. There were 4 of us. Mac and cheese no taste, need noodles, with cream, and cheese pepper then some milk if thick. You can make a crock pot full at a time. Keep on low when gone it's gone.

I really wanted to love this local spot. The menu looked good, but food was extremely unseasoned and tasteless. My patty melt was so greasy, I needed to sop it up with a napkin and the bottom slice of rye was pure mush and unedible. Chicken sandwich was dry and tasted like it had been grilled previously and reheated. Server was friendly but not very efficient. I wonder if they were being asked to do too many tasks. The bar area looked nice and I could see that being a fun area to gather, but restaurant was disappointing.

I was there last weekend and upon arriving home I saw my email receipt and they added extra funds onto the tip without my authorization. When I tried to reach out to the manager, nobody has called me back since and will not return my call so watch out and watch your receipts. Also, we were there for one hour and never received drink refills and they never came back to our table except to give me the bill. I had a half a plate of dinner left over and they took it away and never returned with a box to go. Awful service and shady restaurant.

Burgers or Mac and cheese are two excellent choices and large portions. If you have room for dessert the carrot cake is big enough for two and the cheesecake was amazing. Big thumbs up.
We were in on the evening of 8/25/25, and were immediately greeted by the bartender. A family member had just been released from the hospital and we wanted to bring them food. We’d never been at the macstack before, but the menu looked delicious! The bartender was extremely kind and friendly with us, as well as the cook for the night. He came out and said hello to us and was very quick in preparing our food. The other couple of employees we saw were also friendly and smiling. Hands down some of the best service we’ve gotten anywhere. Oh, and the food was amazing as well! Worth the price and we will be coming back when we’re in the area.

I tried this place for lunch. I had the kids hamburgers with cheese and a ginger ale. The drinks are house made but they have a good selection as well as alcohol drinks. I am always hesitant to get hamburgers at restaurants but these were really good. They are actually seasoned and seasoned well so are the fries (they are fresh too). The sizes are big too even for a child size. Service was very good too. They are attentive and food came out quick.
Everything was really good, service was great!! Will come again!
