If you are just passing through Portsmouth you have to stop and try their chilli and grilled cheese sandwiches. Or the Big Mo. They deliver also if you live in Portsmouth. It's worth it to stop and get me something good to eat when I'm in Portsmouth. Give them a chance, locally owned.
This is a staple of Portsmouth and has been for a long time. If your from Portsmouth than you’ve had a Big Mo and Coke at some point in your lifetime. I didn’t give it a complete 5 star because the prices have jumped so high in the last couple of years. A Big Mo and Coke is now $4.99. However, I will always love this place!
Jim Dandy Drive in, literally saved my life as a child. Me and my brother were abandoned at the age of 15. A Big-Mo and a Coke was $0.99 we managed to find enough to change to eat there once a day for over a year. As someone who has seen very hard times and overcome it, Jim Dandy was a God send.I can never thank the owner and their staff enough, they knew us by name and never complained about the bag full of pennies they had to count.
