I have had nothing but positive experiences with Heineman for many years. I recently decided to try ordering wine online and having it delivered and that was amazing. The packaging was great, it arrived quickly, and had a wonderful handwritten note that I really appreciated. This is my favorite winery and I doubt that will ever change.

By foot or by golf cart, Heineman’s is easily accessible and an over all good time. Growing up I loved the great juice and after being out of Ohio for 10+ years I am now able to enjoy the winery too. Everyone was friendly and allowed for a positive tasting experience!

Was here for a vintage Put in Bay race and anniversary. I got a cheese plate that was OK. Was looking for a more romantic time. A little fixing up could be done. Will always go,... it's a wine place and I'm a wine! ?

Came to the Island hoping to try some red wine at this winery, intent on bringing bottles back to the mainland as gifts. Evidently some of the grapes are on strike because the young man bartending told me they're in a "Red dry drought." There was no dry red wine of any sort. Disappointing but okay, I made do. After having paid for my main purchase by card, I went to the bar for a $2 cup of Concord. He took my $10 cash, gave me the juice, and went to wait on somebody else. I waited a minute -- no problem -- but he returned to me asking if I needed something else?! I said, "this juice was $2, right?" "Oh... OK, hold on. Let me get you your change."I had already tipped over 15% on the overpriced cheese plate and the red wine that tasted like communion wine. Sorry, but I don't tip 400% on a $2 cup of juice.

We really enjoyed both tours and our cab at the end was delicious. Very reasonably priced too compared to some of the other touristy things we did in the area.

It's alright, and yes technically is a cave you can go tour, but really it's a giant geode that you're going into and then coming right back out. I was expecting a different style of cave tour. If youve ever wondered what I would be like to climb inside a geode though this would be a spot for you

The two stars are for the crystal cave, the only reason to visit this place. It’s honestly kind of a dump and lacks the charm of a real winery. Even though the cave is the only reason I gave some stars, the tour is rushed and they give no time to take any decent pictures. This place could be a lot nicer if it was updated and gave an actual feel of a winery. This winery has potential to be so much better. I can tell by the look of the place that the owners lack any vision to see the potential it can have and they don’t want to spend the money to update the place. The outside seating area is very bland and boring, the inside is the same way. If you are into crystals, go for the cave tour but other than that, there is no other reason to go.

Didn't get a photo but had a chardonnay wine slushy that was delicious!! It was 16oz. for $9.00 which is a great deal for PIB! You could also get a full bottle for $15 which is also very reasonable! Plenty of outdoor seating and the service was fast and friendly! Would definitely go back!!

Staff was very nice. Concord grape juice tastes great but if you have limited spice tolerance it may be an issue for you

We came here for the cave tour. I personally loved all the kitschy old signage and decor that some people are calling "dated" - I'd call it history and character. While the cave itself was really awesome (you're inside a giant geode!) the way they handled the tour was not. The cave is not very big and they cram way too many people into it. Basically once everyone is in the space they give you a history of the cave and then you walk through a small opening and go back up the steps. Our cave guide was very unenthusiastic. It was difficult to appreciate the cave because it was so crowded - you couldn't see much aside from what was right next to you. We also went on the winery tour that came with the cave tour because - why not? This part was surprisingly interesting and the guide was much more enjoyable than the one in the cave...but the whole point of it was just to try and sell you wine at the end. We cashed in our free wine and grape juice vouchers. I preferred my son's grape juice to the Pinot Noir.

My husband and I came to visit for our 5th wedding anniversary. Our ferry got in late so we didn’t get to the winery until around 6. We were worried the winery would be closed but we decided to stop by just in case. We were greeted by the nicest and most helpful staff who were happy to give us a tour of the winery and cave, as well as helping us pick a delicious bottle of wine. I cannot overstate how nice the staff was and how great of a time we had. Highly recommend!!!

The crystal cave was basically a catfish scheme. Pictures online were farther more interesting than the "cave" itself. Steps were super steep & the tour guide wasn't as informative as we thought given the history of the winery and cave. Not very spacious for large groups. Very quick tour, like 5-10 mins, rather than the 50 min tour advertised on the website.

Take the tour!If this is your first time to the island or winery I highly recommend taking the tour. The tour includes the crystal cave, winery tour and glass of wine for a very reasonable price. The tour is even kid friendly with an offering of grape juice and a lower price. Tickets can be purchased inside the gift shop. We were able to buy tickets and start a tour within 15 minutes. The first part of the tour consists of the crystal cave. Basically like walking into a giant geode. My kids loved this and it was very cool to see up close. Then you will be instructed to wait by the winery tour door and a few minutes later your guide will take you through the manufacturing part of the process and discuss the history of the winery and how the wine is made. Lots of opportunities for questions. Lastly you get to choose a glass of wine of your choice. They have a great outdoor area with a patio and picnic tables. It was calm and peaceful. It was a great experience and we felt it was well worth the money.

Wonderful experience at the winery and caves. The price per person was $12, which included a cave tour, a wine tour, and a glass of wine or grape juice. The staff was friendly and courteous.

This is a must see on a trip to Put in Bay, Fascinating tour of the cave which is actually a giant geode found years ago when digging for a well. It had amazing crystals covering the walls. The "cave" was large enough for around 30 people to gather. I wish my rock hound Dad could have seen this! The winery was like most and the wine good. We met some locals who were so friendly. The grounds of the winery was a pleasant setting to enjoy a bottle.
