From the outside it doesn't look like much. The inside was pretty nice. I liked the atmosphere. It was a slow time when my wife and I went. I got the pretzel sticks with beer cheese, and they were really good. The parmesan garlic sauce for the wings is made in house and it was decent. I really liked how they came out hot and fresh from the frier. The ranch was very thin and did not stick on my celery very well. The macaroni bites were very plane, and did not have much flavor to the breading or Mac and cheese inside. Our waitress did a pretty good job taking care of us. Prices are a little high in my opinion. I would recommend trying this place, but it's not somewhere I will probably go again.

My husband and I are lunch here and I can say that the food was very well cooked but also extremely bland. The ordered the mac & cheese bites and the Rachel and both were just edible not something I’d return for.
Very nice on the inside, lots of tables, very comfortable environment... Been visiting this place since it was Meier's.Parking: You may park on the street or across the street in the lot.

My friend and her party came in about a week ago. During there time in this establishment they had a long list of complains, both the staff and owner displayed extremely unprofessional behaviors. I have been friends with her for many years and it takes a lot for her to complain, especially in a very public way. I have never heard of Benson’s Tavern, nor will I ever go. Maybe you missed a day in business school but having bad food that takes to long, having rude staff, and having a rude and disrespectful owner does not get you a successful restaurant. If you are thinking of coming here maybe think again, unless you like long wait times, bad food, rude staff, and threats to have the police called on you!
Ordered online when I was about 30 minutes away because website said 35 minute minimum time to make. They took 10 minutes and it sat out the rest of the time. Fries were a bit undercooked in spots but okay ish. Burger was underdone and sauce coated the whole thing. Maybe in person this place is decent but for takeout you will have a better time with mcdonalds for half the price.

The blackened grouper sandwich is very good and the main reason I go to Benson's. The bar area is cold in the winter time and needs more heat.

Benson’s was suggested to our group by one of the surrounding stores and coming here was the biggest mistake. We arrived at 1:50 and didn’t get our food till after 3. We had to wait 30 minutes just to receive our drinks! Once we finally got our food none of us could even eat half of it. Every item had something wrong with it. When asking our waitress to take the food off our bill she threatened to call the cops on us! We also caught her taking shots behind the bar with other customers! After getting in touch with the owner he was outright rude. He didn’t care about how his business was running and how poor the service was. When he was informed that his employee was taking shots behind the bar instead of working he acted like we were making it up. The most he would take off of our bills was 20%. As someone who is a manger in the food industry I could never imagine conducting business like he does.

Our party was seated at 1:50pm and was not served our food until 3:16pm and we were not informed that it would be a long wait and considering most tables were empty we didn’t expect that either. In the time that we were waiting for our food our waitress didn’t check up on us. After bringing out some of the food we had to go and ask for utensils and napkins because we were not provided any. Many of the orders had things incorrect about them so we asked if could have a refund on the food because of the unexpected wait and because we were not consuming the food. They said the best they could do was 20% off or they would call the cops (twice) even though we never threatened to leave without paying. We brought the checks to the front because they were wrong and we were being charged for a mimosa for the bride which we were told would be free. A different server had to help us and let us call the owner in which he was rude and threatened to call the police again. While our waitress Shavon was supposed to be fixing our checks she went behind the bar and took a shot of alcohol. The Owner came in to try and fix the checks and was incredibly rude and visibly mad.

Horrible food! Horrible service! Horrible owner! When the food came out wrong, nothing was done to correct it. When we couldn’t eat the food due to the quality of it, we asked for it to be taken off the bill. The waitress, Chavon, said we would have to pay for it or they would have to call the cops. Clearly if you have a response like that so quickly, they must have complaints often. When Chavon never returned to our table I went to the bar area to look for her. She was taking a shot at the bar with customers! Chavon finally came to our table and said she talked to the owner, Mike, and they could give us a 20% discount. She rang all the bills up wrong and took over 25 min trying to fix them. Mike the owner finally showed up and was not helpful at all. He said we have to pay for the food we did not eat because the kitchen made the food. He did not care that we had poor service or poor food quality. All he cared about was us paying for the food. Mike is not the right person to own a bar/restaurant and it is evident in the team that he trained and by the way he treats his customers.
