“Not from the area was here for a travel basketball league. Everyone starving after a day of playing so we see this place. Nothing to special looking just says food. Go in plenty of seats. But the food did not match what seem to be a hole in the wall. It was FANTASTIC!! My pulled pork w/ slaw was so crunchy & juicy an on a pretzel bun. My son loved his pub berger w/ an over easy egg his favorite. An my g/f got the Ruban was so delicious. Oh an the onion rings were huge an crispy! Would definitely go back. Sorry no pictures we were starving!!“

“Food and service was great...Atmosphere is good too.
Doesn't feel like a Franchise place.
Recommend for large groups, individuals, small parties. Friendly staff.
Entree platter seemed bigger than appetizer combo platter in my opinion“

“Had a wonderful first experience @ Lane Ave location! The service was a 3-star except for the wonderful young lady who rang me out , she was a 5-star+!! I wished I’d gotten her name! Food was delicious!! A bit skimpy on brisket (for $4 upcharge) but we’ll definitely be back“

“Menu was a little confusing but me and my friend enjoyed our meal! I would recommend sitting outside the atmosphere and the music make it a 10/10 experience, I will say if you get a cup for the fountain drinks it makes it a lot more pricey 😳. But overall love the place“

“We went to have dinner last evening. They told us that the dinner is $15.99. They told us that the brisket wasn't included, but they were nice enough to serve us brisket from the lunch. On the way to check out at the counter, we pay extra for brisket per pound. Since they were nice to us, we didn't check the price (which we should've). The day after we were checking the price, it was way more than we thought it was. Lunch was $17, 99, and dinner was $15.99. When I called then I was told they person at the counter charged us $21, 99, which was WAY more than t were supposedose to charge. The person was firm on the price until I told him thathadave text from sababa of lunch, which was $17, 99, and we had din, er, which was $15.99. Of course, I was upset about him because he either didn't know the truth or lying out right that he didn't know they had a promotion yesterday for less price. (If you are working at the counter it's your JOB to know to charge your customers rightfully) If someone is upset on it than it's your job to calm them, not to get ANGRY on retaliation. He called his manager and after a long hold, for which I thought he discussed it with his counter person that what's actually going wrong, he told me that it's not a big deal and it's just $5 dollars, which was way more than that. Obviously, it pissed me off, and again, the manager got ANGRY in retaliation (which he shouldn't be) because both the customer service and the manager are NOT giving you the right information. In the last, he told us the correct amount to be refunded and HUNG UP ABRUPTLY. (Without apologizing or saying SORRY. As I said, FOOD is awesome, but the customer service from the counter SUCKS but the waitress is really NICE to provide us brisket. I would ask anyone if their is a discount price for the dinner ($15.99) and you are charged for regular lunch price (21.99), and the customer service is NOT accepting mistake. Wouldn't you be upset or mad about it? The manager would be angry about giving you a refund and hanging up abruptly without apologizing.“

“Stopped by tonight and can't wait to go back. Best gyro both my husband and I had ever had. It was huge and so fresh, and the staff was super friendly and fast! There was the cutest Mom and daughters in the store who I think knew the owner and even they were really friendly. Seriously can't wait to go back, don't sleep on this place!“

“I’ve been to Del Mar many times over the years, and it has consistently been one of my favorite places to dine. My go-to dishes are the tomato salad, the open-fire roasted shellfish platter, and the lobster spaghetti — and they are excellent every single time. During my visit tonight, I ordered the lobster bisque, the tomato salad, and the lobster spaghetti, and the food was just as wonderful as always. The quality of the cuisine is one of the reasons I continue to come back. Another reason I return so often is the outstanding service I’ve received from many members of the staff. Over my visits, I’ve had several exceptional servers — Emma, Hope, Shelby, and one or two others whose names I unfortunately can’t quite recall (possibly Ella or Lydia). All of them have been attentive, thoughtful, and consistently professional. But if I had to highlight one person above the rest, it would be Emma without hesitation. Emma represents the very best of what great service looks like. She is attentive, detail-oriented, and always checks in to ensure I have everything I need. One example that really illustrates her level of care: whenever I order the tomato salad, she has the kitchen chop it up to make it easier for me because of my visual impairment — even though I’ve never asked her to do this. I don’t expect every server to do this, because everyone is different, and not everyone knows or thinks of these kinds of details. But the fact that she notices, takes initiative, and consistently goes out of her way means a lot to me, and it makes my dining experience smoother every time. Her consideration doesn’t end when the check is paid, either. Even after I’ve finished my meal and am simply sitting for a little while to finish my drink or wait for my ride, she still checks in on me periodically to make sure I’m comfortable and don’t need anything else. That level of consistent, genuine care is rare, and it’s one of the many reasons she stands out. If any end-of-year recognition or promotions are being considered, she absolutely deserves to be at the top of the list. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the service during my visit tonight. My server introduced himself as Ed, and while I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt — especially since I cannot see facial expressions or body language due to my visual impairment — the overall lack of attentiveness was noticeable. Before my lobster bisque came out, he stopped by briefly to say that he had dropped off a soup spoon. I said “thank you” and asked for a Pepsi, but I didn’t realize he had already walked away while I was speaking — something that can happen to me because I can’t see when someone leaves. The Pepsi didn’t arrive then. When the lobster bisque came out, I asked again for a Pepsi. Later, when I reached for the drink, I realized there was no straw. I felt around the table to check if he had placed one somewhere I might not have noticed, but there wasn’t one. The next time he came by was when my entrée — the lobster spaghetti — was served, and that was finally the moment when I could ask for a straw. These are small things individually, but they added up and affected the experience. The part that concerned me most, however, happened when it came time to pay. When Ed brought the check, I handed him my credit card. After processing it, he came back with the touchscreen payment device and said, “The machine is in front of you,” as though I would be able to see or operate it. When I politely explained that I couldn’t see the screen, he responded with, “So with the 20%, your total came to $114.05,” which made it clear that he had already selected the tip amount on my behalf. To be clear, I was planning to tip 20% anyway — so the amount itself is not the issue. What bothered me was the assumption and the lack of communication before making that decision. With servers like Emma and the others I’ve mentioned, I typically tell them, “Can you please add 20%?” and they take care of it with no problem. In this case, that communication was skipped entirely. Overall“

“Pitabilities! Such a hit with our staff! They continue to be our "go to" for staff lunches! The food is awesome and their delivery/set up person was not just "on time" but early with our food. You can't go wrong with this choice!😋“

“Located in a strip shopping center, this unpretentious place deserves high ratings for food quality, not decor. Run by an Egyptian, the Gyros are a work of art with mild and spicy versions. Delicious crispy meat and fresh vegetables. You won't want to eat more than one because of the large size. Bottled/canned beer only and canned soft drinks. Not much to see inside except for some Greek-themed murals, but your visit to this place is for the food, not the artwork.“

“Budget friendly. I use the drive through most of the time and I order ahead of time on their website. Their Tabuli salad is really amazing. Last week when I ordered, I requested light sauce. They put the sauce on the side and I actually enjoyed it more. The combo is a good deal for a quick lunch. I would recommend this Greek Express. I think they do a much better job than the other two stores at Bethel and at downtown.“

“Great food! They have something for everyone, even if you don't like Greek food. The only time I was disappointed was when I hoped to pick up some of their delicious chicken nuggets for my kids and they were out of stock. Then I realized they had run out because they had been providing free lunches to children after the schools shut down due to the pandemic. This is a great small business that deserves your support.“
