The customers and staff were friendly. Before we even got in the door we were greeted by the customers. The staff was quick to greet us and take our order when we sat down. They were very quick with our food. I would say much quicker than most places. The food was really good. I would recommend the potato salad. Might be a popular place in the area, but we were from out of town and decided to try it out.

Kid-friendliness: I saw a few different families being kids in there.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp, but the parking lot is made up of rocks.

Friendly, casual atmosphere, great food. Enjoyed the BBQ pickle 🥒 chips, smoked bologna sandwich, and the smokehouse trio. Delicious! And will be back. Lots of food , will not disappoint.

We had placed a pick up order. I ordered a brisket blt and fried pickle chips on Saturday September 14. This was the first time I got brisket. The slice of brisket was full of fat and the bacon was super chewy. My recommendation would be to the cook… pull the brisket and not serve the fat! However the fried green tomatoes on the sandwhich were amazing. Had I dined in I would have brought it to the attention of a server. My order was one of two ordered on line.

I love small town restaurants! Today smokey bear was on her A game. This place was awesome. The food very good. Got fried green tomatoes, Wings, and pork street tacos. The wings were super plump and just the right amount of sweet and spicy. Fried green tomatoes were perfect. Pork street taco was sweet smoky and spicy with the jalapeños. Staff was absolutely wonderful and very easy to talk to down to earth. I should have taken pictures but honestly, I was hungry and it was good. I will come back again!

Absolutely wonderful staff, Jan was so kind and helpful while I visited. The Brisket is utterly delicious, the Beans and Coleslaw were perfect sides.
Definitely had to purchase their Mini Shots to bring home to Hawaii to share!!
Definitely recommend to anyone that loves great smoked meats and excellent service!!
Will definitely return on my next trip!

My wife and I just moved to Richwood from a city with big flavors. With Richwood being a small town, it came as a surprise to find such a fine restaurant. Smoky bears bring a lot of flavor at an affordable. Great shots for everyone and the best sitting bar in town. 10/10
