Awful first time experience and will not go back. The employees clearly lack concern for dietary restrictions. I am on a vegan diet and was delighted when I found this place online since it has a vegan breakfast option AND a vegan bakery item on the menu. I ordered a 16oz cold brew with oat milk and a shot of vanilla, a vegan breakfast sandwich, and a vegan oatmeal cookie. The person taking my order asked if I wanted bacon, sausage, or turkey on the sandwich. I was surprised by that question and made a comment about not being used to having those options with vegan food items. I chose bacon and while she was entering the order in the register I saw a sign on the counter for the vegan breakfast sandwich and listed Beyond sausage. So I asked if the bacon was vegan and she said no (glad I asked) and then told her I wanted the vegan option again. Maybe she didn't hear me the first time when I specifically said the vegan breakfast sandwich, I'm not sure, but I should have known then that this wasn't going to end well. Paid $20 including a $4 tip and then waited for my order. I received the cookie first and was told where to pickup the coffee. Not a bad wait, maybe 5 minutes while they called out several coffee orders ahead of mine. They called out my sandwich and there was an iced coffee sitting there with no sticker or label with a description so I asked if that was the iced cold brew with oat milk and vanilla and was told no. A few minutes later I'm still waiting for my coffee to be called out and the guy asked the person that took my order if that was an iced cold brew and she said yeah. No one ever called it out for some reason. So, I got my drink after all the unnecessary waiting and confusion and it tasted like water. No vanilla and honestly I'm not even sure they used oat milk. After all of this I was too nervous to even eat the breakfast sandwich. I have zero confidence in their employees concern for dietary restrictions.

I truly love this place, however my last bagel sandwich had paper still stuck to the cheese. Mistakes happen, but buyer beware.

Great local place to grab coffee. Nice atmosphere. Good selection of drinks to choose from.

i don't know. i like their coffee but they charge for TAP WATER which really put me off, especially since i'm in here like 2 or 3x a week. plus none of their workers are friendly but that is common of baristas - they are too cool for customer service. i'll be going elsewhere from now on and i'm sure they DGAF.

I found myself in Rocky River today and decided to support a smaller business instead of Starbucks. I ordered a 12oz americano with a splash of steamed milk. I was charged an extra DOLLAR for the splash of (regular) milk. I asked about this to confirm. I was told it was because this makes it a breve. (as a barista I can tell you a breve is actually like a latte but with half and half instead of steamed milk).I tried to explain I just wanted a splash and I wanted it warm so it doesn't cool the americano. Still he said it would be a DOLLAR extra. He was also kind of rude and talked down to me, which made the dollar all the more hard to swallow. In the end, I paid. He presented my order in a 16oz cup - too big for an americano. It was basically a watered down latte and it was terrible.I'm so sad for Rocky River residents who are limited to such sad options as this and Starbucks. It left me feeling so fortunate to live in Tremont, where there's an abundance. If you are in the area, try Black Bird. The coffee isn't the absolute best but their pastries are amazing and they would never charge a DOLLAR for a splash of milk.Parking: The parking is on a lot to the side but there is no side entrance. You must walk awkwardly in front of exiting traffic to enter.

Do not ask me to tip at the drive thru for a $7.50 20 ounce coffee. Happens to me here without fail, every single time. Please make the coffee even more expensive if your employees need this extra money so bad. I don't get tipped at my job and it is way more involved than making a coffee? Seriously, please just pay them more. I am all for higher pay for employees. I will change this review to 5 stars if this stops happening every single time I come here.

I’m surprised this place is busy based on customer service. It’s soooo bad! I would never come back here for that reason alone. The drinks were okay and certainly not good enough to combat the service. If I were a business owner I’d be so embarrassed by the attitudes and lack of friendliness. It’s unacceptable and makes you feel like you are inconveniencing them by being there.

The coffee and food are good but the baristas have an attitude every-time i come here.

When we make a trip up to lakewood we have to stop by. Coffee is great. Most of the sandwiches are kind of bland, but everything else about this place makes it a great local stop!
