My wife and I had dinner at Ferris last Saturday prior to attending a performance at Playhouse Square. She had a filet special and I had a Delmonico steak. Both were prepared exactly as ordered and were delicious. The potato soup we had as an appetizer was to die for. Everything about the food experience was top notch, including the service. The only negative parts of the evening were that we were seated near a window and were a bit chilly, and there was a large group of 12-14...
The food was great as always. Our server was terrific. It did feel like they were trying to rush the service though. Our entrees were brought out shortly after we got our salads with the explanation of they had a full list of reservations. We were one of those reservations, so why the rush?
Dinner was fantastic. What I care about most when visiting a steakhouse is whether these folks know how to cook a steak. They do. My petite filet mignon was incredibly soft and my sister's Delmonico was beautifully flavorful. We both chose medium doneness, and I would say mine was a tiny bit under, but my steak melted in my mouth. My wedge salad had beautifully crisp lettuce and veg, a lovely, creamy blue cheese dressing, and a diabolically good balsamic drizzle. My sister's...
