This place is a winner! From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable—the atmosphere is cozy, everything is super clean, and it just has a great vibe.
The food? Absolutely delicious. The barbecue is smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. Whether it’s the pulled pork, brisket, or the amazing sides, you really can’t go wrong. Everything tastes fresh and well-made, like real, good barbecue should.
But what really stood out was the service. Our hostess/server was not only incredibly kind and welcoming, but she also worked so hard. When she wasn’t taking care of guests, she was busy cleaning the lobby—wiping down tables, tidying up, and making sure everything stayed spotless. You could tell she took real pride in keeping the place looking great.
Oh, and can I just say how much I love the handwashing sink? Such a small thing, but honestly, every restaurant should have one—it’s so convenient!
If you’re in Rocky River and craving some legit barbecue in a clean, friendly spot with hardworking staff, do yourself a favor and check out Old Carolina Barbecue Company. You won’t be disappointed!

My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch on Wednesday February 26th
We ordered the 2 meat platter which included brisket,ribs,coleslaw, cornbread and hush puppies. what a fantastic meal it was!
The entire staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and outgoing.
One of the staff members talked us into the Key Lime Cheesecake. We where glad he did!!!
We found the restaurant to be very clean also.
