Old River Tap and Social

We went last Sunday (12/1/24) for a casual dinner and drink before taking in some Christmas light displays throughout the neighborhoods. Not only did they feed us twice as much food as we expected when we ordered, but we had two servers taking care of us despite it being a slow night. The service and food could not be better, and the evening was really memorable thanks to this restaurant and its staff. Great job!

We stopped in after a kids' soccer tournament around 9:00 on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving- generally a pretty busy time- and they were extremely accommodating. The staff managed to sit our party of 24 together, were quick and accurate with our orders, and showed zero annoyance that we came in with a huge group right before the kitchen closed. The beer list was great (plenty of nice local seasonal options) and the food was above average for a pub, featuring pretty typical bar food- loaded tots, burgers, etc. All in all, we're more than satisfied with our decision to celebrate our girls' victory at Old River.

My wife and I took our 1 year old her last minute this past Friday evening. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, where there were pretty of kids running around/playing. It was perfect. What made this experience top notch was our waitress. I'm so bummed I forget her name but she was HUSTLING. will definitely be back.

Kid-friendliness: the whole back of the restaurant was a big open area with tables. Few things for kids to do but plenty of space for kids to play.

The starter salads were fresh and good. My wife liked her burger. But my chicken tenders were over done. I didn't feel like fighting about it, but looking at the pictures again maybe I was too easy going? I would give them another chance.

We had a great time at Old River last night. My friend got the Salmon and it was outstanding. Kind and courteous bartender took care of my friends and I. We’ll be back!

Old River Tap & Social is the place to be in Rocky River. The service is incredible, the servers always go above and beyond to ensure that patrons have the best experience. The menu is very extensive and there is truly something for everyone. The owners of old River make it feel more like a community than just your standard restaurant. The managers go out of their way to make sure the guest, kitchen, servers, etc are having the best experience. Old River tap and social is something special & will always be my go to place when I visit Ohio! You don’t want to miss out on this place especially the Napa grilled chicken & supernova cocktail!!

Stopped in for dinner while traveling from out of town. Great atmosphere with the music loud enough to be heard, but could still hear everyone at our table without a problem. Food was really good! Ordered loaded tater tot appetizer, then three entrees amongst our party. Mac n cheese, farm style burger with a fried egg, and meatball sandwich. All three were great! 24 beers on tap. Clean place with very attentive and friendly staff.

This was our third time visiting. The service was incredibly slow, the bartender didn’t know how to make simple drinks and the drinks we got were not well made. The GM or owner was very kind and helpful but with the potential this place has - good menu, nice atmosphere, great location, they would be a lot better off if they either hired better wait staff or did a better job training and supporting the ones they have. The food was also just mediocre this time. I hope that it was just a bad night, maybe due to being short staffed because of the black out but I was very disappointed. Especially because we were bringing my boyfriend’s father there who was visiting from out of town.

Burger, fish sandwich, salad, broccolini, and tots all shared with my wife tonight while seated at the bar. Special shout out to our barman Ray, who we're getting to know here. He's as affable and attentive as any in Rocky River. Cheers!

Bartender was fun and friendly. Drink choices were interesting. I've seen 5 year olds make better sandwiches.

Hey, this place is bouncing back and is hopping! Really good happy hour and the service is really improved over the last year. It’s really clear the new general manager is stepping things up. Ray is great!

The Whole smoked wings (dry-rub) with buttermilk were surprisingly great.
Better than similar wings I’ve had at Fatheads & LagerHeads. They were off the chart good
