I still miss the decor of the “old” Salmon Dave's and find this refreshed version to be much colder and more stark. But, otherwise it was a lovely meal and our server was excellent.

Went here August 11 for dinner. I am giving our experience an average score. Not sure what's up with restaurants but the last couple places have been underwhelming. Or maybe it's me. To begin, the bread and butter was nothing special. The lobster bisque was good as it always is at Hospitality restaurants. It tasted a little different than Blue Point and Kingfish but it was still good. The grilled oysters were really good! However, The twin lobster tails tasted good but seemed small. The mashed potatoes had good flavor. The halibut meal seemed flavorless. The risotto was bland as was the halibut which I ordered with sauce on the side. The dining area was very loud. For the money Kingfish, Delmonico's or ML Tavern would be a better choice.

I had been wanting to try Salmon Dave's for years but never did. I decided to go for my birthday. The table was sticky, there were crumbs in the seat when I sat down, the person on the other side of the booth I was seated in kept hitting the back of my seat every few minutes, and the lobster tail that I received was dry and tasted old—this was the first time I had a bad lobster tail in all my years otherwise the commodore trio shrimp and scallops were good. My husband's halibut special was dry and underwhelming. The crab cake, sticky wings, and house salad were delicious. The service was excellent. Nonetheless, I would most likely not dine here again due to the fact that there are too many dining options in the area to risk being disappointed again. Not sure who decided to serve that lobster tail but it was a deal breaker for me.

Excellent food, smooth friendly service, timely & attentive without being intrusive. Managers checked in a few times and service team worked together to deliver all dishes at once hot & fresh. Excellent Bouillabaisse! Definitely recommended

Everything was wonderful! We especially appreciated how welcoming you were to my young grandchildren. My only thought is you can reduce the sauce on the fettuccine Alfredo. WAYYYYYY too much. Other than that great dinner! Thank you!

I Celebrate my 60th Birthday at Salmon Dave’s (3/15).For my entrée had the Pecan crusted Grouper dinner.. It was great. The atmosphere was nice and our waitress (Bird) was the best.. We will return.
Sat for 20 minutes without a server addressing my presence…. No chance to eat because the service is TERRIBLE!!!!

We went there for dinner last night and it was expensive and awful.
My wife got a mixed green salad + salmon. It had literally ONE cherry tomato (cut in half) and no sunflower seeds. She had to ask for more of both.
I ordered the sautéed walleye, but since I don't like asparagus, I asked if I could have the horseradish cole slaw instead. When it arrived, the fish couldn't have been more than 3 ounces of fish. It was overcooked and not seasoned at all. It just tasted like bland fish. The mashed potatoes were as thick as concrete and also very bland. The cole slaw had no dressing on it, tasted nothing of horseradish, and just tasted like a bowl of shredded cabbage. They also didn't give me any of the lemon butter sauce, so everything was bland AND dry.
I complained, but all the waitress said was "oh, I'm so sorry. Can I get you something else instead?" By then, I didn't want to wait for them to make something else, so I just politely said "no". I wasn't looking a free meal or anything, but some acknowledgement that the dinner was not cooked properly would have been nice. No one ever came to the table to say anything and that was it.

I'm sharing this only because SalmonDaves Was our favorite before they completely destroyed The elegant atmosphere. Our current visit, its like a cafeteria style and extremely noisy, whereas before it was elegant, peaceful, fun with warm brown tones and gentle memorabilia to relax in a cozy atmosphere. Not anymore. So sad to see it Turn into a cafeteria, noisy. We will never return. I wish you the best. I see that it was loved and enjoyed by lots of noisy people with tables too close for comfort and not conducive peaceful conversation at all.
