My Herb Farro Salad was tasteless and I have never had to pay $20 for an Old Fashioned, even at Chez Francois! We sat outside because the inside air was oppressive. Service was fine although the water glasses were dripping water through the wrought iron table onto clothing. My friends' Tartines were good.

I ordered my filet medium, it came out rare. I sent it back, it came out rare again. Everything else was fine and our waitress was great. Disappointed I couldn’t get a medium cooked steak.

I would give this place 5 stars if I could! We went for my birthday dinner and it was a great experience. They have a whole vegan menu and large portion sizes! Our waitress was wonderful too. We got the French Onion soup (which I’d literally never had before bc I’ve never found a place that had a vegan one), the blackened tofu Tartine, the Brussel sprouts, the vegan steak entree and a pb, chocolate, caramel dessert! Also, we ordered a side of the wild mushrooms and they were to die for! Everything was delicious and we had leftovers to take home too. Can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in town!

We were very happy to find a restaurant that offers a large selection of vegan options that are not the typical Mediterranean or Asian fare. The bistro is located in a quaint area off of Detroit Ave. The atmosphere was charming and the service was excellent.
We shared several dishes on our visit so we could sample several options. Needless to say, we had leftovers to take home. The potato leek soup was okay. The presentation was beautiful! It had a very distinct flavor that my husband enjoyed more than I did. The lentil cakes were just okay as well, but the arugula salad that came with it was very good.
We tried two different tartines - blackened tofu and the Mushroom French dip. They were both delicious. The bread on these open faced sandwiches was cooked perfectly and the flavors were really good.
Of course we had to try dessert. Tonight’s feature was a chocolate torte that was amazing!!
Looking forward to another visit so we can try other menu items.

I really enjoy it here. Their vegan menu is delicious and they are accommodating to vegetarians as well. The atmosphere is very lovely and can give romantic vibes. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable. Not complaining about the half off bottle of champagne as well when I went on Wednesday!! I will continue coming back here :)
