A very sad night with the closing of Bay Habor for the season. This restaurant has been a year-round "go to" for our family for 35 plus years, now silenced by Cedar Fair. 25-year employees out of a job just before the Holidays.

Opentable Diner

The food and staff were excellent. Had to wait a little bit to place our orders because a lot of table came in at the same time, but otherwise I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Cedar Point or the Cedar Point Harbor.

We had made reservations the night before at sunset but unfortunately the Saturday night park traffic would have made us a hour late so we rescheduled to Sunday at 8pm after we left the park. It was a beautiful location & only 4 minutes from the park so it was very convenient then. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. We only enjoyed drinks and apps because of the timing. Drinks were tasty and we loved the lobster bisque! The bang bang shrimp and sea scallops are fresh and delicious as well. We wished we had room for dessert since those looked good too.

My wife and I dined there last night for the first time. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. I had a filet, and it was cooked to perfection. Very tender and not over seasoned like some of the national chains. My wife had the strip with shrimp, and she said it was excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere was very nice. Window seat with a great view of the setting sun. Best steak I have had in the Sandusky area so far. We will definitely be back.

Have been going to Cedar Point for 45 years, never knew this was here. Best kept secret. Upscale dining, good food, well cooked, great service and a view of the marina.

Had drinks and apps before going into the park. The food was good, the drinks were great. Kim is our favorite server at Bay Harbor, she made the evening special.

Very disappointed that there were no crab legs. Ordered the Lobster in lieu of them not having crab legs and I was disappointed in the size and taste. The overall dining experience has changed significantly over the years. At one point, Bay Harbor was the most exclusive, high end restaurant in the area and now it's average at best. I believe that Bay Harbor may return to its past reputation, but they will really have to start focusing on the little details and move forward.

Service was great. Food was not. Sadly, not one dish could I rate as good. Beautiful views. Hoped for better food...

Short rib was dried out and horrible. Mashed potatoes were cold and out of an ice cream scoop. Barely touched my food and the waitress took the plate away without asking. Noone offered any sort of discount for the inedible meal.

Abby was a great server. She did a great job. We were able to go outside to let our daughter's boyfriend propose to her in front of the restaurant by the harbor it was perfect, And yes, she said yes? We love coming here every year

Everything was great. Our server Lori was phenomenal, kind and professional. We came in at 920pm and this was the last place open in the area. Our only minor complaint was the Caeser salad had a cheese crisp thing that was super tough to eat and the chicken was forgotten on my wife's Caesar salad. Outside of that the food was excellent. I had the chicken Michelle which I had never heard of before but it tasted excellent. I highly recommend this place.

Upon arrival of their opening at 4pm..I first used the lady’s restroom..The restroom was a MESS for just opening for the evening..Another lady that was in the restroom mentioned it to me..we both felt the same way..I observed that the restaurant floor carpet had NOT been sweep..there was even a butter knife stuck under our table..I noticed the table next to us..the chair had drippings on it..Doesn’t look like they wipe tables & chairs down very good..Also did not see posted anywhere that they didn’t except cash & was not told until the waitress came back and told us..I was born & raised in Sandusky Ohio and I can probably tell you that was my worst experience in all my years..Probably my last unfortunately..Cedar Point is pushing us locals away..So good thing they have ALL the out of towner’s & Marina rich folks..I just noticed that I could of added photos of what I observed..If I would of known this before writing a review I would of damn sure made sure I had taken pictures of what I’ve just posted in this review..

The food was just not good regardless of the price. Risotto was just clumpy rice with no lobster. The vegetables were bland. Salmon was overcooked with no flavor. The perch and walleye tasted like it came out of a box. Bamn Bamn shrimp was just shrimp smothered in yum yum sauce. What a waste of money.

Came in for our 7:30 reservation and got seated almost immediately. Sat for over 20 minutes before the hostess eventually came to take our order (no visit from server yet) had to ask for bread 15 minutes later bread comes just before apps. Asked for more butter and waited... and waited...and never got it. Food came, now here 1+ hours before finally getting food. Food was good, service was terrible. Total experience was over 2+ hours for dining. Would not dine here again and that's too bad because the food really was delicious.

Service was very slow and not attentive. Food was horrible- cold and bland. Portions small and reminded me of banquet food. Overall disappointing. Not a high end restaurant for a special occasion.
