Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Tried the egg and bacon casserole. I liked it. The serving portion was good. Our server did a great job. She allowed us to customize the order, giving me the egg portion over easy and the bacon not crisped.

Smaller portions than any other Cracker Barrel I have been too...

Food was great server greeted us promptly. But after that server was non existent. People who came 10 to 15 minutes after us got there food first. With what looked like the same order minus the 2 kid meals. Definitely had better service but the food was great.

Terrible Service and Food!!!! Waitress was a 0!!!
Took our order, gave us our drinks, NEVER ASKED ABOUT REFILLS, gave us our food, I would of been embarrassed to serve us our scrap meatloaf, granddaughter received more milk then cereal, and I asked for coleslaw before my meatloaf!
Then she gave us our check!!! I paid our bill, then I told them my experience. The cashier did say sorry! I didn’t complain at dinner because I didn’t want to say anything in front of granddaughters. I wish I would’ve if asked to speak to manager!!

Bad experience at Sandusky Cracker Barrel. Waitress was nice but after we ordered our food it took a hour of waiting to get it. It wasn’t that busy either and no one in our section had food either till then. Their kitchen has issues keeping up. The biscuits came out and were cold in the center as well, sent them back and they checked the rest and they were to. Don’t know wether they had to many new people to train or a lot of call offs but obviously a management issue with keeping morale up.

I'm not sure if our server was having a bad day or just didn't want to be at work. She gave us drinks and our appetizer. We ordered our meal at that time. We didn't see her again until we were nearly finished eating. I needed a refill after before our meal was delivered but didn't get one until we were almost finished eating. She didn't ask if we wanted biscuits or rolls, didn't check on us for refills, didn't ask if we wanted dessert. She just put the bill on the table. I had to request dessert to go which means she had to adjust our bill. I also had to request a takeout container for my leftovers. Also, the only available dessert was chocolate cake. She said they were out of everything else...on a Sunday at lunch!?!

Our waitress was not happy to be working; she was surly and slow. We sat for over 10 mins without any attention at all. Then she. Took our order and finally served us cold food and rock hard biscuits!

Definitely not what they used to be. The quality of the food is terrible. I was served instant potatoes, biscuits that were so hard, i could’ve sworn they were days old and corn bread that very dry and not anything like the old recipe. I lived near the original store in TN for 20 years and the food and atmosphere were always incredible. If someone from the corporate office needs help remembering what made them special, please reach out and I will be glad to get you back on track.

Usually the green beans and mashed potatoes are absolutely wonderful but not on our last visit on 3-5-25 in Sandusky, Ohio. The green beans tasted like they came start out of the can with no seasoning. The potatoes were stiff and bland like they were made the night before and reheated. Couldn't finish them.
