We've been here a few times now and the food is always so good. They have a delicious cauliflower pizza crust. Wine is tasty. I had the raspberry resiling and I really enjoyed it. It was not over sweet. We enjoyed our conversations with Judy and Dylan. Excellent hospitality. One of Sandusky's hidden gems. We look forward to checking out some of their upcoming events.

1. Today, we visited Firelands Winery for the first time, serving as a convenient meeting point to connect with family from Michigan. The winery is stunning both inside and out, and we thoroughly enjoyed a tasting, particularly appreciating the Lonz Cream Concord. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive during our visit. Unfortunately, I realized after returning home, approximately two and a half hours later, that I had dropped my wallet. Upon calling the winery, a staff member kindly informed me that he had found it and offered to mail it back to me at no cost, despite my willingness to cover the shipping expenses. I am immensely grateful for his thoughtfulness and the kindness displayed by the staff, which is a refreshing reminder of the goodness that still exists in the world.
Thank you, Firelands Winery.

We went here for the first time today and they were super friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend this winery. We especially liked the cream Concord.

My wife purchased 6 bottle of Cabernet sauvignon. We ended up throwing away 4 bottles. Took back 2 and the owner said it was Bottle shock that made it bad. I'm not buying any more of there wine, ever. Too bad they used to have good wine.

My husband and I visited this winery to sample the wine specifically for stocking our wine cellar. As this winery had received good reviews, we wanted to try it during our wine purchasing trip in Ohio and New York.

We did not have a good experience. It all came down to the service we received.

We regularly go on trips visiting wineries to purchase fairly large quantities of wine. When we came into this winery and sat down are the wine bar counter, we were met by a terse bartender. After a few questions, the bartender informed us we could taste two wines each, up to a total of four wines. The charge was $2 to taste each wine. This was fine. We then asked the bartender to taste four wines. We stated our intention was to taste different wines to purchase. The bartender then told us we would need to order a “tasting flight.” We asked the bartender to confirm that we were getting a tasting of each wine and she stated “no” that we were getting a “tasting flight” and then made a rude comment with a tone stating that almost everyone buys a bottle after doing the “tasting flight”. She then proceeded to pour a full flight of four wines, (not tastings). This was frustrating. I am not sure if the bartender does not understand the businesses’ options as listed in their menu, (surprising as she said she has been there for many years and has even been the general manager). Either way, she was not focused on the customers’ needs and interests. We had hoped to try several wines while there to see if we wanted to purchase them. However, we felt it was best if we did not based on the service we were receiving. It was just awful.

Further, when we went to pay, the bartender rang us up, charged us for a regular flight, and then turned the tablet screen just slightly so she could see it and intently stared at the screen as we completed the transaction including when a tip option was displayed. Really tacky. We did leave a good tip for poor four small flights (15%) although it was not deserved — the service was very poor. Training is needed. We do not recommend this business and will not return.

*Our dog got attacked*
We were excited to try this place but didn’t even get a chance to sit down bottom patio is dog friendly so we brought our dog as soon as we got out of the car we see another dog and the owner claimed it was friendly then lunged toward our dog pulling the table with him and wouldn’t let go of him the dog was too big for the owner to control so my partner had to deal with the terrifying experience in the parking lot please be careful don’t bring a dog if you know they don’t like other dogs or if there too big for you to control?

Wonderful experience. The hostess was a delight, and I had the best ice wine I've ever had. The appetizer was delicious as well.
