When planning a small birthday celebration for our daughter the first thought of food that crossed our mind was Great Lakes Grinders. We contacted them and easily selected a tray of our favorite grinders along with our favorite pasta salad and potato salad. The day we picked everything up was a breeze! The excitement to be able to eat a tray of grinders and sides in February was over the top! Every bite was amazing! Out of town friends experienced their first taste of Great Lakes Grinders and shared their appreciation for the deliciousness! There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a grinder!

What a gem find! Great Lakes grinders is a gem in Sandusky! Located in downtown Sandusky right on the water. Couldn't get any better than that! Service was quick and efficient. Food was walked out to us at our table. Sandwich was amazing! Bread is shipped in from New Jersey. And boy does that make a difference! Great texture and really makes the sandwich. Meat and veggies were very fresh and on point. Overall a very well put together sandwich. 100% recommend!

I’ve had a few people tell me I needed to get over and try this place out. I finally made it today and I was not disappointed one bit. Grabbed 2 subs to go and went and had lunch with my wife. She had the Turkey and Avocado and I had the Spicy Sicilian. Everything was fresh and the bread is legit. Give em a try!

We finally tried their grinders and we were not disappointed. It was great and everything was fresh. We got the west coast turkey and the heavy Italian. Very nice staff, the chip selection was great. We will definitely return to try the other grinders and other menu items.

Visiting from Canada and stumbled upon Great Lakes Grinders - and it didn’t disappoint! Very fresh sandwich (we got the turkey avocado) with incredible bread - couldn’t recommend it more! So good!
Absolutely adore this place! The owner came out to make recommendations for us newbies, and we knew immediately that THIS was a Sandwich Man! Our group of friends sampled a range of grindera and there wasn't a loser in the bunch. The ingredients are fresh daily, the sammies are made with care, and what we got were easily some of the best sandwiches we've ever had. Amazing food, beautiful location by the lake, fantastic people behind the counter - if we lived here, we'd eat at this place all the time! You can't go wrong; GLG gets our highest possible recommendation. Hope to be back someday!

I ordered for my coworkers as a thank you for a few projects we finished, and they all LOVED the food - from regular grinders to lettuce wraps! The staff was great and even worked with me on some last minute changes I had to make. They were so kind when I picked up the order. Highly recommend! :) We will keep them in mind for future staff lunches!
