Upon arrival received a free room upgrade! Was very surprised. The suite did not disappoint. The amenities were nice and accommodating. The view was beautiful. My son and his friends really enjoyed themselves. The website states the water park doesn’t open until noon, however it actually opens at 10 am. And you can go early.
Me and my family had a great time. It’s just way too long of a walk from most of the rooms to the water park.
Hot inside, like humid. Not able to get a towel unless u have the good wrist band. Feel like it's more for adults than kids tho. My own opinion mom of 7, females show too much here. Here for the kids and was my 1st as well as my kids. I enjoyed my time w my kids and swimming on my own. Food too expensive, things need updated desperately and it costs too much to get it. Along with the superrrrr long drive to get here.
Had an amazing time
World Class facility
where do i begin…bed bugs that were “crumbs” blood stains on my pillows. the stay was horrible i recommend you stay anywhere but here
we came here for a trip. the beds infested with bugs. one of the workers tried shushing us while talking about it in lobby. they tried saying bugs were just crumbs. and the place is all around dirty. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Surprisingly good hotel gym, it got the job done!
Ants in my suite before we even had food in there.
The towel rental situation is absurd. Theft is encouraged (one person takes your towel, thus you’re forced to steal someone else’s towel, or be charged. Obviously there’s no way to catch the thief).
9/10 of the people in my group have raging norovirus.
Hot tub isnt particularly hot.
The jets weren’t on.
The rules about no kids under 6 werent being enforced.
Anyways, not bad. But not great. Not worth the price
Upgraded our room for no charge and family had a great time.
We decided to come to Kalahari this year for our anniversary after going to great wolf the year prior and being disappointed to find it was mainly child focused. After hearing how adult inclusive Kalahari was and many other positive reviews of it we decided to give it a chance. We were disappointed to find our stay to be almost the exact same as at great wolf. Upon check in we went to our 1st floor wing that to my disgust I found smelled like a Porta potty the entire three days we were there. Our room thankfully had two showers as the one directly off our bedroom wouldn't drain fast enough leaving you standing in your own filth water. Our mini fridge froze our food leaving it unedible and one glass container iced over the bottom which then slipped out of my hand shattering leaving two chunks of glass in my pinky. I hardly got any sleep as one of the rooms by us kept dragging furniture around all night and the tall ceilings in the room caused everything to echo. Three of our pillow covers had stains small but still gross in my opinion especially as one looked to be blood. Room service only came once while we in the room but we were indisposed and thus didn't let them in they never came while we were in the park we ended up with three days of wet towels sitting on the bathroom floor. Our safe also didn't work so we had to try and hide our valuables when leaving our room. And that was only the room related issues. The park itself was a whole other issue. I was immediately harmed before even getting into the pool area as one turnstile went backwards instead of forwards and it bruised my thigh. Despite having 6 lifeguards stationed at the wave pool that contained maybe 15 people at a time they had the pool roped off at the 4 foot mark if you got within a foot of rope they were telling you to back away. As adults we were looking forward to this pool it would be the only one we could swim in. We attempted to swim around the four foot area but found ourselves scratching up our feet as they hit the bottom of the pool. The entire kids area was open but for adults only 6 slides were open one being the toilet bowl type ride, the only body slide open, which cut my leg something we wouldn't realize till seeing myself in the mirror after returning to the room. Admittedly we didn't realize the outdoor part wasnt open when booking but figured there would be plenty to do inside but found half the slides were closed. We rode everything in day one of our three night stay. There wasn't much for adults in the arcade and it was extremely over priced. We did the mini golf and mirror maze and surprise it was all kid focused the golf course only had nine holes and every hole was maybe 6 foot from the hit line. We finished the mirror maze in under ten minutes. We had also bought passes for Lazer tag but after those two disappointing experiences we decided to just skip it. We arrived Monday and where meant to check out Thursday but Wednesday night both entirely disappointed with the trip we agreed to just go home at 10pm (a two and a half hour car trip). We went to the front desk and asked how check out worked as we hadn't been there before and expressed we wanted to check out early. The worker at the desk didn't even bother to ask why we wanted to check out early despite being able to use the Waterpark till 3 Thursday afternoon. Just said it's automatic and we could go. Neither of us wanted to be a Karen and cause a scene so instead I'm here warning other adults who might think it'd be fun to stay here about the experience we had.

This is a great resort for a family vacation. The only issue is it’s not very wallet friendly. I mean it has all of the amenities one could ask for but it’s very expensive.
The kids love it, room was spacious had a kitchen as well. Everything is pretty expensive here though but that's to be expected. Tons to do here laser tag, mini golf, arcade, and so much more
Go to the ZULU GRILL in the park, the manager is one of the nicest and most kindhearted people I have ever met. Would 100% recommend to anyone.
While my initial experience of booking the week get away for the granddaughter and her best friend for her birthday went smoothly, we had to rebook because of some sports games the granddaughter had to play in that we didn't know about. We had to change our trip by one week earlier. This is were I wasn't happy the price of the room went up by $900 and the cabana we booked double.in price. Needless to say they wouldn't even talk about why the higher prices other than say demand. I canceled the cabana. It was funny 2 days before we went they offered a cabana for $250 less then when i had to rebook. Still didn't do anything about the room
So this part of the wasn't was good.
Part 2
Rooms was ok nothing special location of the room was excellent. Still not worth the price. However if there was a extremely bright spot it was Sal our waiter for the cabana we rented. This guy was truly amazing. He made sure we were well taken care of no matter what we needed whether it was food drinks tv issues, it didn't matter Sal was always there making sure we were good. He is what customer service should be like. Your lucky to have him on your team. The rating is for the booking the service throughout deserves a 10. Sal thank you for making the trip great after all.
If i could give 0 ZERO I would .I had first booked a 1 night over stay for my nephews birthday had paid $300plus for king side suite with kitchen. Got a call that they wanted to give me a complimentary upgrade room 3227 I thought oh that's cool. We'll do my reality it wasn't. Once we got there kids wanted to go to the water park so we rushed. We went to the park wave pool first, I walked in the water and right away got out as it was slimy and iky on the bottom.
So I did not get in to the water.
Once we got back to the room is that I noticed how gross it was. Had blood or food not sure on the walls and I didn't want to find out. Bed spread dirty their were hairs on some of the pillow cases, even a public hair, it's like they slashed drinks on the walls, the balcony door would not lock , and there were nail clippings on the counter for the sink. It had 2 bedrooms I let my daughter take the King bed me and my son on the 2 queen beds in the other room you could feel the springs coming up the mattress it was awful, last two things that drove me nuts were the smoke detectors kept flashing green and white the rest of the night and there was a horrible humming buzzing sound. At first I thought it was the A/C then I realized it wasn't. Needless to say we didn't sleep. The lock on the door was loose and the balcony door didn't even lock on the 3rd floor I have a young child, that is super dangerous. I was going to call the front desk at that moment my kids were tired so I tried to stick it out. I figured I'd inform them in the morning. This was my first time.going and I am so disappointed wont be going back.
When I did tell customer service they were very polite about it then they said oh dear we will have maintenance go confirm everything. And set you up VIP next time for everything. Um I'm like tea I don't want to come back, thanks but no thanks. ( would have been nice if they would have offered to refund at least half the cost)
But I took pictures and videos and showed them to her. So she would see i didn't make anything up and I'm not a complainer but for the amount of money paid it was horrible.
Arcade is super expensive, food is expensive as well. I was like dang 1 night to stay at a water park hotel and I'm in over $800. That's ridiculous 😒 🙄 😐 nope I've been to way better nicer ones, half the price.
