Red Gable Mesquite Grill

Went here on August 10, 2015. Took two hours to get our food, and it was almost completely burnt. The waitresses were also very strange.

I had the pork chops. Other than being super thick they were nothing special.

Dining experience was outstanding. Mike was a perfect host. Food outstanding. The spirit of Jamie was in the room and he approved. Good turn out

Arrived close to closing, but they didn't rush us in any way. First time here but made us feel like we were long time regulars. All our food was excellent as well as the service. Next time I am in town, I will definitely be stopping here to try some more of the menu selections.

Everything homemade!! Jaime the owner also chef comes to the table to meet his guest.. I love this place food is excellent service amazing!!! Will be back.

If I could give more stars, I would. I have to say that this was easily the best restaurant I have been to. I'm not from OH, and those I was travelling with had never been to Red Gable. We just stumbled across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We could not stop talking about how great our steaks/lobster/crab/salmon was. The waitress was so incredibly knowledgeable on the food and so welcoming. The chef was out of the kitchen and talking to guests so often and was so humble when we complimented his cooking. We were all so impressed and could not be happier with the food/service we received. We enjoyed it so much, we were trying to figure out how we could come back at least one more time before we drove home.

We picked this place on our way back to our hotel based on a couple reviews saying how great the food was. Hands down our favorite restaurant now!!! We will definitely be back. The steak and pork chop were both cooked to perfection. Such a cute atmosphere as well, we were promptly greeted by the owner Jamie and had great service from Laurie through the rest of the evening.

We found this awesome little restaurant on Google. They have the best crab cakes that were full of lump crab meat, excellent steaks, the appetizers were delicious, grilled brie with fresh strawberries and blueberries and grilled scallops. But the best was how they catered to the children, making them whatever they wanted. The owner/chef was friendly and engaging and clearly has skills in the kitchen! Highly recommend this gem!

If you're looking for exceptional service and even better food come here! Great for a romance date or special holiday! I will definitely return ❤️

A small (10 - 12 tables?) restaurant but very good food that is prepared from scratch. Service was a little slow but with the home made bread served with our drinks, made the wait beareable. No draft beer or draft soft drinks Only bottles n cans. Would return for sure :)

My boyfriend and I took off on a drive out west. On our way, I Google restaurants in the area. Red Gable Mesquite Grill popped up. I decided to read the reviews and was surprised by all of them. So we Googled directions and pulled into the parking lot. As the door opened, I knew the food was going to be great by the aroma in the air. We were greeted by our waitress and she explained the specials for the night and also recommended the filet to me as one of her favorites We had the crab stuffed scallops for the appetizer. They were tasty! Then the homemade blue cheese dressing on my salad... Then the main dish.... More tasty flavors. Of course I asked for the A1 steak sauce. Did I need it? Heck no... I sure didn't. I always taste my steak first. It did not need one drop. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. We loved the homemade bread as well. No room for dessert but I guarantee it had to be good too! Jamie, the chef and owner, came out and greeted us. He spent a few minutes telling us about a couple dishes (how they got their name) and the salmon which they were out of but sounded superb! We may have driven about an hour but it was well worth it. We felt so welcomed. Everything was perfect We will definitely be back. We found a gem of a restaurant and will tell others about it!

Kind of hard to find but this place was awesome. The steak has such a rich flavor and smokey taste from the wood fired grill, you will never forget it. The chef/owner was great and personable. The meal was so good I can't wait to go back and try something else. Make it a priority to try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Perhaps the best meal I have ever eaten! The staff was very personable and friendly. My steak was done to perfection and I will be dreaming about the taste tonight. A bit pricey, but well worth it. If you get the chance, I highly recommend it.

After reading reviews online, we decided to check out Red Gables for a late Valentine's Day dinner this weekend. I am SO glad we did! The staff was friendly and attentive. Our service was excellent. She thoroughly explained their specials for the evening. I decided on the shrimp Alfredo (awesome!), while my boyfriend had a New York Strip steak-he swears the owner's claim is right-best steak ever!!! The owner and chef came to our table to check everything was to our liking and had a nice friendly chat. We will definitely be going back again and highly recommend this quaint little restaraunt to anyone looking for an excellent meal and wonderful dining experience!
