I ordered online for pick up with scheduled time. I specifically ordered CHILI 5-Way that was absolutely disgusting. 🤢 It tasted so bad I wasn’t sure if something was just bad or just wasn’t made properly. I have been ordering from steak and shake since the 70’s and have NEVER had a complaint. I won’t be back and waiting 7-10 for 8.97 to be credited back to my CC is unacceptable.

The food was very good for a fast food restaurant, also the fries are now cooked in tallow not seed oil. you order on a computer, which is ok except that they didn't put they were out of ranch. they asked if we wanted a different sauce but didn't take ranch off their computer. instead they were keeping the money when people paid for it.
Parking: parking is right In front. its very convenient if youre staying at great wolf lodge. its right in front of it .
Kid-friendliness: its a burger shop. there were lots of types to choose from.

Meat in burger was dry and tasteless. Buns were stale. Had to use a self serve kiosk to order. Even the mustard sucked. I’ll never go back. Yuck!!!

In July 2024, I paid $21.47 for meals for my wife and I. Only after paying did we discover that there was actually a multiple hour wait on all orders because there was only one cook. There was no way we were waiting multiple hours for Steak & Shake. We were told that they were too busy to process a refund at that time and to just call the store another time to get the refund. I called on four separate occasions over the next couple of months and was always assured that the refund was coming. They were apparently just waiting for the regional manager or whatever to come by the store. It is now February 2025 and this Steak & Shake still has my $21.47 for food I never got.

i’m about 95% sure i got food poisoning from this place…i had fries and a oreo shake on 3/5/25 in the afternoon around 5 o’clock and about 2-3 hours later starting getting violently ill and didn’t stop getting periodically sick (about every 30 minutes) until this morning 3/6/25…pls stay away i don’t want anyone to go through what i had to last night

I left my purse there 12/16/24 I didn't realize this until I got home and called. I live 2 hrs away so I was relieved when they told me they would ship it to my house, that never happened. I called multiple times and every time I call it's a different story. Each person gives a different date that the purse was sent. They have shady employees who basically stole from me and lied to me consistently. I had to cancel all my cards, order new ID. I had cash and had to replace a purse and wallet, not to mention the constant stress this has caused me. I have all the receipts, recorded phone calls and phone logs so we will see if corporate can fix this before the authorities do.

This was the best burger I have ever had. I ordered the frisco melt. What tasted like a ribeye steak, the patty covered my palate with its juicy fat. And their American cheese complimented the patty extremely well. The bread, buttered and toasted to perfection, while still soft and warm on the inside. This is the meal you need to comfort you, to fill your cravings, for a cure to your hangover, or just to have a great meal. They had a wonderful staff, polite and kind. 5/5 would HIGHLY recommend.

This S&S is the Titanic! & the pianist is the only human still onboard: taking orders, cooking, cashiering, serving! They've been "out" of shake-making ingredients for a year! Dead serious.
Parking: Usually only one car there .. AND ONLY ONE HUMAN.

I haven't been to a steak n shake in several years so I don't know if it is a pandemic thing or just a Sandusky thing but I was disappointed that they don't do regular table service anymore. I also didn't see any of the pepper bottles anywhere. Otherwise, the food was as good as I remembered and the place was pretty clean. And the pumpkin oreo shake is excellent!
