We had the Shaker Heights location cater an event for 80 people. The manager was extremely accommodating and made the process easy, allowing us to walk in and place a large order without any issues. Our guests loved the food. I will definitely do business with the Shaker Heights location again.

Unfortunately the food is pretty mid. Growing up in a Jamaican household I love to go around trying different Jamaican restaurants because every Caribbean puts a different twist on their food. But the food here was just bland. I got the jerked chicken and it was honestly disappointing. Dry lacked kick and flavor. The rice and peas was not cooked with coconut milk like it traditionally is, the rice was also bland just tasted like water. There was just nothing redeeming about the food. Even the beef patty was dry and bland. For the high price tag, you’re better off just making it on your own. I’m glad I didn’t waste money trying the ox tail because if you can’t get jerk chicken right you definitely can’t cook ox tail. The only saving grace was the friendly young man working the counter. His customer service was top notch. Bless his soul. If you want the true Jamaican cuisine experience go elsewhere, I don’t know where because I don’t live in the area, but I know 100% that it’s not here.

Delicious, inexpensive, and plentiful. My carry-out order was ready early. Greeted with a bright smile and lively conversation.

The rice (half cooked) and peas were bland. Jerk chicken had plenty spice but also bland. Would not recommend nor return.

1st time trying Jamaican cuisine and it was a great experience! The jerk chicken was very flavorful and tender, both on and off the bone. The plantains had a great contrasting sweetness. Mac and cheese was good, though not as creamy. The beans were good, needed a little more salt or seasoning, but mixed in the rice was good. Never had banana pudding eith plantains in it but it was nice. Will definitely order again when the chance comes!

Love this place. They catered a dinner party for 36 last week at my Aunt’s home. Ordering process was fun and quite easy. Great staff handled it all. Picked up the food on time all hot and nicely prepared. Just about ordered one of everything on the menu and what a hit! Everyone just scarfed up the dishes, sweet fried plantains as well as all three of the chicken dishes, beef jerk and cabbage, rice n peas, Mac n cheese and the tasty cold salsas added a crunchy freshness to the juicy hot dishes. All in all you should definitely try out all the delicious Jamaican food dished out at IRIE Jamaican Kitchen in Shaker Heights.

Disgusting , mushy jerk chicken, asked for double cabbage got veggies and corn instead on BOTH orders. Mac and cheese had a weird taste. Would not recommend and I spent $50. I’m going to McDonald’s

Excellent experience

Oxtail plate was $26. They were a little tough. Portion size was ok. Probably would get something else if I decide to return. There are definitely better options for Jamaican for almost $30.

Just not my preference and I eat a lot of Jamaican food. Too each is own. Plantain was very hard.

Great food. Irregular business open, sometimes not open during published scheduled hours.
