I got the 1/2 and 1/2 meal with jerk and stew chicken. I honestly couldn’t tell the difference between the two meats. I don’t like the cabbage at all. They give you a lot of food for your money at a very reasonable price. I also tried the rum cake. It was moist and decent. My only complaint is my plantains are burnt as you can see in the picture. I suggest getting the bowl to see if you like their food before purchasing a box.

A little small on the inside but the food that comes out of this kitchen is to die for!I've tried jerk chicken a few times and never really cared for it so I was quite surprised at how deliciously spicy it is!I would not change a thing about this place and will definitely be coming back as often as I can!

I PAID for double cabbage and EXTRA chicken and didn't get either. Tried to call the restaurant and they didn't pay their Verizon cell phone bill. Number keeps saying the phone is not in order. Will be disputing transaction and getting my money back since I can't get in touch with anyone. That's why I ONLY PATRONIZE E.185TH

This was my first visit, and the gentleman that helped me was terrific. He gave me samples of the chicken to try, as I was concerned about how spicy it would be. He also told me about the ingredients of the side dishes. I just wish there were tables and not only a counter for eat-in dining. My food was DELICIOUS!Parking: There is a large lot in the back that is free.

Great savory comfort food at a fair price. Perfect if you are looking for a delicious filling meal. I've tried the curry chicken, the jerk chicken, and the stewed chicken. All very good. I never pass up the mango chutney, which adds a nice sweet accent. So glad these guys brought their business to Shaker!
I go here a lot, I went on March 1 and the service was terrible, never had that before but they had 2 young girls there and they had nasty attitudes, I told them the counter where the food is, is nasty food all over it the tall one told me if I didn't want to eat there don't come, the counter was disgusting, I talked to the manager and he acted like "ok so" terrible I asked for a veggie box got home no chick peas very little cabbage, only reason I would go back is because my hubby likes it, but the customer service was terrible. The atmosphere in there is beautiful but the food is not true Jamaican food I don't know what it is but it's not truly Jamaican food and I've never seen macaroni look like that but the staff was so nice and the atmosphere is beautiful also they're charging $5 for a simple ginger beer when if you go to a Caribbean store it's a couple of dollars

Oh my.. their beef and chicken patties might be the best I have ever tried. The customer service? Top notch! The vibe laid back and chill, but clean. I bruised my hands changing my brakes and embarrassingly could not get my bottle of Ting open, I was convinced it was a pop top and needed a bottle opener. They were kind enough to open the bottle for me and not make me feel like a jackass for it. After that debacle I walked into the door and we were all able to laugh about it. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their offerings, if it is anything like their patties I am in for a treat!
