On The Rise Bakery is a must-visit for pastry lovers in Cleveland. Their croissants are heavenly - buttery, flaky, and with the perfect balance of sweetness. I highly recommend the raspberry croissant, but the almond is also delicious. They also offer coffee and tea to pair with their baked goods, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Haven't tried the sandwiches yet, but everything else looks amazing!

This is the only real bakery I have seen since I moved to the US. The bread is awesome. I am glad I found it in my neighborhood!

Is there better service combined with better pastries in the Cleveland Region? Anywhere? Well...if you are looking to find out, definitely head to On the Rise @ Van Aken Market Hall. Because, this is my "happy place" and I hope it is yours also.Teya and Becca are just 2 of the many great people working here. Teya brings personality and connects with customers, often telling a story or getting to know how things are going for people coming in.The pastries and bread are outstanding. A wide variety of breakfast pastries and scones. The weekend "Special Scones" are rotated by season, and I haven't had a better scone. Great bread and sandwiches. Definitely a variety of people working here and food that are worth your visit.

A curated and small collection of pastries, I had the almond croissant which was really good ?

Used to be 5 stars but now the sandwiches are not made to order and the quality has gone down hill. The bread isn’t as good, the sandwiches are dry, and the price now doesn’t justify the level you would usually expect. Plus the staff can be a little rude.

Croissant was amazing

The lady at the counter was extremely rude and cold. The coffee was just ok, and the sticky bun without nuts was kind of chewy and unappealing. Very different experience from their original place on Fairmount.

Wow. Is it weird to say everything edible here is amazing? The cashier working around 830am EST on Saturday 07JUL2023 was just delightful. The baked goods are sublime. If you visit the Van Aiken location, be sure to pair something with an espresso beverage from Rising Star Roasters.Sandwiches not available until 9am EST, so be warned IF you're an early bird. Otherwise, nothing but good things to say about this gem of a cafe/bakery hidden in Shaker Height, Ohio.

This place has a great pastry and bread. And It used to be a go to place for me. Until today. The cashier has an attitude because I was not forming a line like she wanted me to be. She took an order from other person even though she came later than me. I complained. Then the attitude. I gasped because of her rudeness. I still have a tip 20% for making the sandwich. I won’t go back as long as she is doing the service. What a awful experience.**update**Went back again to see if I can have better experience. Wrong! I got a wrong order and they didn care to check the price difference. I didn’t want to even complain them. I am going back to the fairmount store for now.

Just OK. The other location has a much larger selection to choose from.
