Shawnee Hills Bakery featuring Dublin Cake Cottage

The only reason I am giving this review a 1 is because I can’t go any lower. My aunt bought red velvet cupcakes and a red velvet cake for a special anniversary party, but the cupcakes were lopsided, and had cheap foil for liners. It was disgusting and had a cigarette taste, Kroger would have had better desserts. The worst part came when we opened the box for the cake. It had little hairs all over it and it was leaning towards one side. The lady clearly used nothing to support the cake and it was the most horrible cake I have ever seen in person. The worst part is that we got them a day before the party, so there was no way for us to try and work things out. When we did complain to her she denied anything being wrong with the cake. She refused to give us a refund and was the most rude person I have ever met. We couldn’t even serve any of it and had to figure something out completely last minute. DO NOT BUY FROM HER. It is a definite scam.

This place is the worst! I do not recommend to anyone.

My elderly father got duped into paying for this cake even in the pictures they gave us it is falling apart. Looks nothing like what she offered and showed to my father when he requested the cake. I am very disappointed, truly tried to be a good daughter and be grateful but this isn’t acceptable on any level

Tasty cakes, but when I went to confirm price so I could pay for cake I ordered the price went up $10. The owner wasn't even home to check her notes from our meeting.

Carol did a fabulous job on a specialty cake for Leatherlips Yacht Club's Commodore's reception. The design was spot-on, right down to the rope icing trim and the cake was scrumptious.

My wife Natalie and I used Dublin Cake Cottage for our wedding cake this last weekend, and it was superb. Very moist. Carol is very sweet. She is also very professional, courteous, and trustworthy in her profession. Thanks Carol for all your hard work and effort. Our cake was magnificent.

This place is wonderful! You will love Carol, the owner. What a great lady. She alone is worth the visit, but her cakes, cupcakes, wedding cakes, cookies and more are the best around. Don't travel through Dublin, Powell or Delaware without stopping at Shawnee Hills Bakery!
