I love this old cozy Alcove! Food was so yummy! I got the beef manhattan and green beans. Great friendly service. It was our waitress’s first day there! She was perfect!

Recently I learned that ‘Alcove’ is a fancy name for “nook”, or better yet, “hole in the wall”. That’s how this restaurant was started, as a hole in the wall. This is one of the best diners I’ve been to for years. You’re not gonna find the family treatment and service and down home food here anymore as restaurants like these slowly fade away. Come hungry, leave stuffed. Come as a customer, leave as a friend.

The best place to eat is always home cooked. This is home cooked food. You need to go! I ate there and it was as good as I could cook. Thank you to the waitresses and cooks.
