Solid food! We enjoy going to the buffet on Saturday nights as a little family splurge. The kids love the ice cream machine and they have a lot of food options available. The dinner buffet is downstairs, separate from the upstairs dinning area, for the good of both the people enjoying a quiet dinner upstairs and the other people downstairs. They always have great service and are so nice! A lot of the ladies are the same from 10+ years ago

We normally go there for their soup, salad, and bread bar. Unlimited for all you can eat. The salad bar is super fresh with many choices, along with potato salad, macaroni salad, fruit, puddings etc. There are 4 different soups. I love them all. There are 4 different choices for breads too. Service is great, everyone is friendly and polite. Highly recommend!

All I can say about this place is I wish I could have given it zero stars, and I will tell you why.My family and I went there this past Sunday to have the all you can eat buffet.First I will say of the four bites of food that I was actually able to eat everything tasted very similar.Watery and loaded with Accent. For those love you who don't know what accent is for it is a flavor enhancer also known as pure - monosodium glutamate!Within 4 bites of this bland tasting food, I knew I was going to have an issue. Now I can eat out at any other restaurant and even if there is MSG in the food it by no means reacts the way that the 4 bites of food that I ate at the Barn restaurant this past Sunday does.I quickly brought it to our waitresses attention that I had only been able to eat 4 bites of food and that I would like her to take this off of my bill as I am not able physically to eat their food. She was kind enough to remove my food and then watched me the rest of the time that we were there so that I did not eat anything. When I motioned for her to come over to the table for refills of our beverage I then asked her if it would be possible for me to order something from the menu upstairs and have it brought down to me so that I could eat with my family and not just sit there and not be able to eat.She came back a few minutes later and said no I'm sorry that's not possible we cannot do that.Never have I ever been at a restaurant that could not accommodate a customer's request. It would have been so easy to order something from the menu upstairs in the sit-down part of the restaurant and have them bring it down to me or I could have even went up and got it and brought it down but instead I was refused. My husband and son sat at ate their meal and said that it was very bland! When we went to the register to pay our bill, the young lady asked if everything was okay. My husband said no that we had an issue. She said how could we make it better? His response was you can't make it better you would have to change all of your recipes!I mean that was really a very classy way to say what he couldn't really say.But I also laughed inside too! After explaining to the young lady about the enormous amounts of MSG in their food, she apologized and we were on our way.The best thing about this place was the lake outside and the adorable geese and ducks. Now don't get me wrong you might love this place but if I'm going to go somewhere it's not going to be here, so if you have a sensitivity to MSG or just don't want a bunch of chemicals in your food then I think I would choose someplace else to go there are plenty of other places.Try hartville kitchen ❤️

What a unique experience it is to eat inside of an old barn turned restaurant focused on an Amish community with dishes catered around old homestyle buffet food. One primary entrance is fully wheelchair accessible, with a non-sharp ramp. The large open main lobby provides more than enough room for individuals to get past one another while also providing adequate seating for people with physical disabilities. The pathway to the dining hall is quite narrow, but the main floor for food is one large open area with buffet-style bars at wheelchair-accessible height and staff able to help when asked/necessary. Some turns are quite sharp as some buffet lines quickly end at other lines, and due to the main floor being one large open area, it can be quite loud and distracting for individuals with hard of hearing and/or sensory issues.Outside of the restaurant, there is a sizeable pond with a circular patio towards the middle of the lake with a direct path able to fit two wheelchairs side by side. There are around 50 ducks all able to be fed with the food dispensers, and among the ducks are individual park swings and a playground for children and people of all ages.

The buffet was well stocked and the food was very good. Service was excellent, the restaurant and restrooms were clean. If you have to wait there is lots of seating and cool games for adults and kids to do to pass the time. Also beautiful grounds outside with machines you can get fish food at to feed the fish, playground swing set area, benches with a beautiful water view. We had a great experience tonight, highly recommend!
