Wanted to give a quick shoutout to a local business: King’s Tandoor in Solon (close to the movie theater). Coming from the pickiest eater and someone who’s quite difficult to impress; this place is PHENOMENAL. If you enjoy Indian cuisine or want to try, go check this place out! Kings Tandoor and bar offers one of the best lunch buffets, with everything full of flavor and not overdone. The owners are very kind and attentive. The buffet is only 17 dollars total all you can eat. Their Chicken Curry is one of a kind, and their Gulab Jamun and Kheer Rice Pudding and Chai Tea is the best. The Paneer Tika Masala is the best ever. The restaurant continues to impress; even before a change in management, the food was reliably good, but now the experience is truly standout. Everything on the menu, from appetizers to main courses, is always high quality and perfectly spiced. However, a very loud alarm sound goes off regularly in the dining room, which is jarring, stressful, and unpleasant. The recipe for the Malai Kofta was changed to have more chunks of aromatics and be heavy on cashews, while the old version was more tomato and cream forward. The Samosa Chaat is a good light side. Pricing is respectful but not cheap; portions are decent and flavor is great. The atmosphere is quiet and private with music that is not overwhelming. Each table is very clean and silverware is well presented. Service is great, and the bar staff checks in at the right time. The tikka menu has delicious options, and the combo platter and lamb kebabs are recommended.
