Acceptable. Could be a little larger for the larger flow of customers. The cashier needs to talk slower.

I went to pick up food and the lady at the front was taking phones orders and helping customers. She was extremely rude today. Which everytime I've gone she has been very short tempered. Today a man walked up looking for extra soy sauce and she start yelling you can't go back there its employees only. He wasn't trying to go in the kitchen. I might go elsewhere because of her unprofessional attit

They have really fallen off. I try to get Singapore noodles and they have no seasoning on them - they are traditionally more yelllw with flavor (turmeric) these are lazy noodles

Food quality has declined so bad. My last 3 experiences were terrible and I ended up tossing my meals in the trash. They must have changed cooks or buy from a different vendor because the food just isnt good anymore.
I've been going to China Gate for Sesame Chicken for decades and I'm always so pleased with it. My favorite place to get it. The lady at the front is always so pleasant and they always get my order right. My experience at China Gate is always great.

Very average to below for chicken egg foo young combo. Rice was overcooked and egg foo young was decent and fresh but a little salty. Egg roll was a bit soggy not crisp. Good portion and nicely packaged for takeout. Service was kinda slow because the woman at the checkout was too busy taking phone orders and chatting while the line grew longer. She seemed to have attitude. Overall it was fair Chinese food at a reasonable price. I probably won’t be back anytime soon because there are better options!

Sure, we all long for the day Cedar Center was really CC and the China Gate was a real restaurant. But the second coming CC take out place the food is still pretty good and their fried rice is to die for. And the “woman” in front is always nice to me!

My Mom and Grandparents loved the original restaurant. I remember going. I remember on Saturday night was dinner and movie night. My Mother always spoke of a warm friendly atmosphere with consistently great food. After moving back to Cleveland and my Mother telling me that china gate was back. I have noticed a disturbing decline in food and service to all customers. Lab Techs I worked with said on too many occasions the food was not consistent and staff seemed prejudice. I kept this all stored in my memory bank. This past Wednesday I had worked long hours and was hungry but was too tired to cook. I got a vegetable fried rice and vegetable egg roll. When I got home I noticed the unusual smell coming from my backpack. I opened the container of food and it smelled . I didn’t order meat I didn’t know where the smell was coming from. I poured some of the rice out and noticed the consistency of the peppers. The peppers had a gummy consistency and an awful smell. I threw everything out. This is not what people fell in love with.As far as I’m concerned this tradition is dead. When a company no longer cares about the product they give to its customers it’s over!!!

The food was horrible. We ordered pork egg foo yong, and it was almost all bean sprouts but the bean sprouts were so chewy. I couldn’t even swallow them. The pork inside was strips of disgustingly hard, rancid pork that I couldn’t even chew either. The Fried Rice had the same, rancid pieces of pork in there. The only good thing about that place was the gravy and even that will probably be inconsistent.
