If this is what you're going to do, don't open a bar.It was a night where they were having live music.First, whoever answered the phone was RUDE AF. I was told we could come for "standing room only" in the least nice way possible. We were still interested and went anyway.Already aware of the SRO situation, we sat at the end of the bar only to buy drinks and planned to stand, although looking around, there was barely enough room for paying patrons to sit considering the parade of people bringing in folding chairs to put at the folding tables to accommodate the people who'd arrived earlyWhile waiting, we noticed there were no drink guns, just lots of open soda cans on top of the bar. Most disturbing was the open bag of limes on the counter. One of the bartenders rifled through it looking for one to garnish a drink and after fondling a few, couldn't find an acceptable one, so tossed the bag toward the back of the counter.TWENTY MINUTES LATER, no one ever acknowledged our existence - although other people were proactively turned away at the door for not having tickets for the event and weren't offered standing room. And, there wasn't a smile to be bought between any of the staff members.We decided to leave before the entertainment ever started, and no one seemed to care to lose the business. While we were there, we felt stressed and unwelcome.I've been to BYOB cabarets more organized and welcoming than this place. I'm all about supporting small businesses but they need to give guests a reason to support them.Won't be visiting here ever again.Edited to respond to the owner: The lie here is that anyone spoke to us! We weren't a "group" and no one greeted us. NO ONE EVER SPOKE TO US AT ALL.You have us confused with another (probably disappointed) customer. ? It was just me and my husband and neither of us ever spoke to the band. We sat at the bar and waited for service, didn't get it, and left before the band started. I'm not one to argue. I just take my business elsewhere.Just own up to a guest's disappointing experience and work to fix it for your other guests. Perhaps read the other reviews about rude staff and pivot your business model. That's what good businesses do.You totally missed the mark here - period, end of story. Don't attack me for telling the truth or make up an interaction that never happened - or at least one that didn't happen with me. Sounds like the evening should be a lesson in what not to do... ??‍♀️Good luck with your endeavors. ✌?

Why is there 1 cook on a Friday night. Really. I ordered wings and fries. The fries were under cooked. The wings were not even average. C'mon. Let's do A LOT better.

I've been here about 5 times now and generally support because it's black owned. They have a small kitchen so the food takes a while to come out and I think they pre cook some things. They are not the friendliest of folks, but hey. We support our own.
