“Seemed like a nice enough non-chain establishment. Youthful staff got right on my order. The meatball sandwich was pretty underwhelming. Nothing in it tasted Italian. Sauce was... tomato sauce. Bread was... bread. Meatballs were... just plain meatballs. Wouldn't buy it again. I was looking for something Italian. I got something s.w. Ohio. It was edible. It just wasn't good.“

“Stopped in tonight and had dinner with my family. The place was dead on a Sunday night only one other group. They are in the middle of remodeling so that kind of makes sense. I've been coming to this location my whole life and it was my favorite place. It's kind of sad to see the changes but also nice to see someone trying to make the place better. No where near what it used to be. But the food was good and the server Faith was fantastic and was very nice to us and my 8 mo. Old baby. I'll always be back. And hope for better days of Fred's restaurant“

“I haven't had a bad meal here so far. I love that my little town still has a good, reliable, restaurant in this location.
Parking: There is free parking directly in front of the restaurant along 140.
Wheelchair accessibility: Kalis doesn't have the handicap automated doors but the doorways are wide enough to admit a wheelchair. The individual in the wheelchair might need some assistance navigating the two sets of doors in the little entryway though.
Dietary restrictions: Just like the two iterations of Rose's that existed in this same location before it, they will gladly fix your food differently if you ask.“
