Grill and Tavern is misleading. The food here is made fresh. The kitchen is top notch. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with the options of grilled, blackened, or fried. The Potato Soup and Chicken Chili were excellent. Every spoonful a delight. The Roasted Brussel Sprouts could be served at any establishment. More than ample portions and our server was too notch. If there was a downside, it was they were really busy. I suppose that happens when you're good.
Had a half star to to The fairly standard atmosphere. The service was basically adequate. Mixed review on the food. My go-to Texas pork tenderloin sandwich remains my favorite and is bigger than the plate. The chicken pasta soup was very thick and creamy and pretty darn good. My dining partner enjoyed the mac and cheese but thought the Reuben sandwich was mildly tough and rather dry this time around
I went here for lunch with my Granny. We arrived around 1130. There were other patrons sitting but it wasn't too crowded and it was quiet enough to hear each other easily. We liked the restaurant and our waitress was sweet. We both ordered the Cowboy Chicken Sandwich and we collectively agreed it was THE BEST chicken sandwich we had ever had. Before we left we were already planning the next time we would be back.
