Finally got to try this place on my occasionally recurring trip to Springfield. I got the pork griot, which is fried pork that gets served with onions and peppers with a dipping sauce which provides some moisture. Rather tasty stuff. This was a good pile of meat and also came with a spicy slaw, some lettuce and tomato, and fried plantains. It was a huge portion for the price, and you could easily have enough to take home.

Wonderful, friendly staff and servers! Husband’s snapper was amazing. Chicken patty was delicious with such a great dough and filling. It filled me up before my meal even was served. Be ready for the heat for the spicy coleslaw, worth it though - very flavorful. Great experience!

The food was delicious! I had the snapper, which was cooked to perfection, the twice cooked plantains were delicious and the salad couldn't have been fresher. I also bought a fish, chicken and beef pastry to go; very reasonably priced $5 each. The music was delightful even though I did not understand a word. The service could not have been better.
