I was on my own and wanted to have a quiet, pleasant dinner at Don's Pomeroy House. It is a favorite of mine, although I go under 5 times a year. Jeff was the server—very pleasant and attentive. The menu changed since I was there last but was good. I missed the loss of the grilled wedge salad; however, I still enjoyed the new salad. The special—blackened walleye and pirogies—was flavorful. It was nice when the waitress told us the special a filet and scampi I was delighted and ordered it. When it came to the table it was a filet and scallops. I can't eat scallops, a while ago I had an allergic reaction to them. She took my plate and when she brought it back it was just the filet no scampi. The filet was delicious but I was wanting those scampi!

Parking: Plenty of spots behind the restaurant that are not a great challenge to walk. There is a handicapped entrance to avoid the stairs going into the restaurant.
