I have been coming here for 32 years. Never have I ever seen it so unbelievably filthy. Came in with a basketball team and we were all commenting on the dirty windows, sticky floors, the mirror is all marked up, the ice cream windows were so dirty on the inside and the food prep counter ?. Of course I had to use the bathroom. In and right back out. No trash bag. Brown splatter all over it. Dirt covered walls. No towels. Used to be the place to go. Very sad. Needs a deep clean, paint, and something about the grill ventilation needs addressed. So smokey inside when preparing food.

First time visit to Charlie's for my girlfriend and myself, wow. For a little hole-in-the-wall we both left with full stomachs very glad to have stopped. My girlfriend wanted ice cream, I was more interested in the burgers. She order a burger with her liking of topping and tots and I got myself a double burger with cheese because the photos online made the single burger seem small. After we ordered we quickly received our food and I was blown away by the size of the patties! Thick patties, cheese melted wonderfully. I also ordered the all beef hotdog with just ketchup, keeping it simple. Talk about simply fantastic. The hotdog was without question top 3 I've ever eaten. I forget the exact flavor she order for the ice cream but she said it had little chocolate chunks she could not stop eating. TL:DR - Would recommend even as a non-local, will be coming back here again!

Yes!! Old Fashioned ice cream stores that make their ice cream in house and serve great burgers still exist! Awesome fries and onion rings too! The burgers are from fresh beef and made perfectly , the onion rings are also home made (not from a bag of frozen). Great place!

First time here. The food was great, but only had 2 younger workers and the place was pretty busy.What bothered me was the bathroom was not wheel chair accessible. I know that doesn’t matter to most people, but to the people that need it, there is no restroom available. We had to leave early to find a restroom. That’s why I only gave 2 stars.

I ordered mashed potatoes not mashed potatoes and gravy.You should really ask people if they want gravy... especially when your gravy isn't that great and ruins the taste of the mashed potatoes.

The Ms Burger (mushroom, Swiss n bacon) was great. I was sharing it with someone who didn't like mushrooms, so they cut it in half n kept the mushroom on my side. Bacon could have been crispier. The ice cream was great as always. Our party had mint chocolate chip n buckeye, n vanilla. We ALL enjoyed them.

got some ice cream a chili dog, a cheese burger and some onion rings. The chili dog sauce is super good and seemed homemade. It went well with the mustard and onions. The onion rings are hand dipped and fried to order. The burgers are fresh and made to order as well. ice cream was tasty
This place is a shell of its former self. The food is meh, the service is absolutely terrible. The employees don't seem to care. They can't even take 2 seconds to greet you. They couldn't have been less friendly. We ordered 3 burgers, fries, chicken chunks, and a salad. The burgers and fries came out after a long wait. After an even longer wait, I had to go ask where the salad and chicken chunks were. I was handed the salad, which as just sitting behind the counter for who knows how long, and then they started to make the chicken chunks because they forgot. I only got an apology because I saw her start cooking the chicken chunks. She was basically trying to hide it from me. Additionally, it was 90 degrees outside, and the air conditioning was not on inside, which made sitting in the old, beat up chairs even more unpleasant. Just an awful overall experience. Never coming back again. I used to come here all the time as a kid. Those days are over. 1 star because the curly fries are actually good.

How hard is it to hot fudge instead of fudge squeezed out of a canister?! Also, how about getting decent spoons so you can eat the ice cream without breaking the spoon! Never again

Never disappointed by their food or ice cream! Good vibe. Sometimes a longer wait than you’d think in line, but it’s in the name of quality food. Standing in line there is a good social moment.
