First time dining here and I will say TOP NOTCH , the lamb chop was the best I've had, service was great nothing at all here was a bad first time experience.

Went back and again nothing but the best here...

We were passing through Toledo, OH and decided to stop at Ciao in Sylvania for dinner—and I’m so glad we did. This was, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.

The Tuscano Soup was absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and comforting. I didn’t think the meal could get any better, but then came the entrées. As someone who eats gluten-free, I was blown away by the number of options available—it was actually hard to choose!

I ended up ordering the lobster, shrimp, and crab pasta with vodka sauce, and my husband had the Salmon Piccata. Both dishes were outstanding—perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive. We also loved the beautiful outdoor seating area—perfect for a relaxed evening.

Honestly, the food and experience were so good, I’d seriously consider making the 5-hour drive just to eat here again. Highly recommend!

I had the Salmone Al Ferri Con Ravioli and a side of asparagus, and it was wonderful. Our waiter, Gino, was excellent. What I had he recommended and it was great! I highly recommend Ciao's!
Great food, excellent service! It was an enjoyable time! Thanks, Gino!🙂

We had the absolute worst experience on my birthday this month. We were treated terrible by the manager…and it was not the first time. I cannot believe the way he is allowed to speak to people and keep his job. We have tried to give Ciao a chance since it was sold but we will not be back. The food has gone downhill and so has the service. It is such a shame because I have always loved Ciao and we especially love the patio. But there are too many restaurants to choose from when you are mistreated and the food is mediocre or just plain awful.

My expectations were set very high and Ciao managed to exceed them. To help accentuate how rare that type of experience is, it is only the second time in my life I've experienced this phenomenon.

The food was exceptional. Everything was incredibly flavorful, good quality, and well prepared.

The service was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional.

The atmosphere was cozy and clean. The lighting was subtle. The live music was really nice.

Everyone working here should be proud of themselves.

Our experience at Ciao a restaurant we have enjoyed in the past was abysmal last evening. The manager was friendly and sat us at a table by the fireplace which was not on unfortunately. Our waitress was prompt and kind but very intent on getting our order in as quickly as possible. We ordered two appetizers the Asiago Al Forno (baked cheese with toasted bread) and mushroom bruschetta. The Asiago an appetizer we have enjoyed in the past was terrible. The cheese appeared broken or prepared wrong as it could have been mistaken for epoxy in a bath of oil. We gave up on the Asiago as it was difficult to cut with a knife and impossible to spread on the bread. The highlight of the meal was the mushroom bruschetta. This appetizer was quickly devoured as it was delicious! For entrees we ordered a simple cheese pizza with red sauce and Pizza Gamberi (shrimp and pesto pizza with artichoke). The shrimp/pesto was abysmal completely lacked flavor. We ordered extra pesto she look in order to try to simply attempt to taste something on this bland dish. Perplexed at how with all the topping the kitchen achieved an absence of flavor that later in the evening caused GI distress. We ordered a split of Prosecco and received a very small glass the bottle was never placed on the table but changed for the split. All at the table last night suffered upset stomachs as we tried to digest this overrated but formerly enjoyed restaurant.

Nicole behind the bar provided top-notch, world-renowned service unlike any other prestigious establishment in the area. Smart, witty, and personable with every patron, she maneuvered with grace and efficiency. Ciao is a notch above the rest when she is manning the bar, and it's an experience alone to see her in her element.
