Buckeye Lake Winery

We came out for Valentines Day. We made a reservation. We were shown into a dinning area that should have been for a Funeral. Black table cloths no flowers or candles, freezing cold in the rebut the fireplace in the dinning room had tables I. Front of it and wasn't lit. Atmosphere was dank and dark. Service was terrible food was awful the cheese appetizer had two thin pieces of bread, the steak was Ice Cold and sliced when it came out. The servings were tiny, the corn chowderor whatever it was fair the dessert I believe was frozen. No one around us bragged on the meal. I didn't want the vale tine special but you were unable to order off the menu. My husband couldn't get a martini because they didn't have Vodka , Gin and No olives per server.
This place was not very full or busy Now I know Why. The server was....
Save your Money....not worth going too.
Should have went to Virtues at Longaberger dinner was $50 per person and delicious and a beautiful venue. Best thing was the violinist absolutely wonderful derful

Went there on Saturday afternoon. Staff at the door were very friendly and seated us promptly. Waitress was fine and my wife and I each ordered what we thought would be a glass of wine. The wine was brought to us in plastic cups. We were going to order food, but decided to go elsewhere. I just thought that was really strange.

I had a bland flatbread pizza and a tiny pour of stale wine for double digits. It's disappointing for a place that advertises itself as a winery. Their overpriced and under whelming wine and their limited food menu does little to draw crowds.

I feel that it's honestly not worth the drive from the city as there are much better places on and near the lake with way better food at reasonable prices.

Not impressed

Was told the wait was going to be 35 minutes… 40 minutes later, still 8 parties ahead of us. Poor management of guests.

I recently hosted my baby shower at Buckeye Lake Winery, and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue! The food was delicious, with a great selection of appetizers and desserts. The service was exceptional! The staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. I highly recommend this venue for any special occasion!

Enjoyed a glass of wine on the patio and then it started to cool down, so decided to go inside to order dinner. We were nicely seated and ordered dinner. Then it was “crickets” We asked for water and waited quite a while. Then we waited a hour for a baked potato, two bowls of soup and a flatbread. Our waitress finally looked at our table and brought water. We asked about food and she said she’d check. She then ignored us. Finally at the hour mark she brought out our food, no apologies. The baked potato was cold- even the cheese on the top did not melt at all. She did take the potato off the bill and my husband shared my flatbread. One in our party started with her order that she wanted to get dessert, so that is why she only ordered soup, After eating the check came, never asking if we were ready for dessert. So we paid and left. Disappointed

Highly recommend Buckeye Lake Winery! If you love a good sun set, this is the best place to watch it! Enjoyed a diverse tasting of white and red wines. The waitress wasn’t very educated on the wines- but she was newly hired. The live music made the atmosphere even better! The lobster dish was yummy but a little over priced for its portion. Definitely recommend this place mainly for its wine, lake side view and live music!

The Island Smash Mouth burger was excellent and great wine also! Good atmosphere and staff was very helpful and does go the extra mile. I would like to thank Julie the general manager for the great experience we had at the winery!!!

Great atmosphere and food- great live music

Great location, service oriented, excellent food. Had a great time with the family. But if you expect a restaurant to go beyond it'll be reflected in the price.

Manager reprimanded an employee in front of the entire restaurant. Very unprofessional of the manager

Very unprofessional and appalling service. We came in with a moderately sized group, and were seated with no hesitation. After that the staff simply would not serve us. We spoke to the staff multiple times and they seemed to not understand that we were customers that were seated that wanted to order. A server was not sent to the table and they simply wasted an hour of our time as we tried to accommodate what we assumed was a lunch rush, while tables around us had attentive servers and prompt service. The main function of an establishment of this kind is to serve its customers, so if incapable of that, I don't understand why they should be in business.
