Had a reservation at 730 and did not get served a single food item until almost 9. The food that was served was terrible. Some people in my party couldn’t even eat it. The flavors were just awful. My shrimp and filet were bland, my broccoli was raw and mashed potatoes was inedible! It appeared burnt and had a strange smokey flavor on it. We ended up going to a bar afterwards to eat some decent food. 😡
I’m not sure if it was an off night, but my husband and I have been dining at The Empire since they opened and have always been impressed by the quality of food, it’s one of the few spots in town that has great quality options worth the price. Last night we came in for dinner and ordered the caprese flatbread for our starter — the flat bread was tough and crunchy, over done and the tomatoes were lacking in any flavor leaving the mozzarella to be overly salty.
