12.5/5 Stars!! If you're even remotely close to Sam and Ethel's, you've absolutely got to stop in. Plate sized pancakes, overstuffed omelets, and service that makes you feel like you're actually at Sam and Ethel's place with wit, satire and attention to detail for days. Sit at the counter, be sure to check out all 3 rooms, and don't let the steps fool ya; there's an accessible entrance out back. Thank you, Renee, for being real and making our day. Of course, we'll be back!!

Highly recommend. Historically, my parents used to eat there when they were dating as young people. The food is incredible and delicious 😋. Homemade and country style. They have the best coffee too.The restaurant is very clean and great and friendly atmosphere .The waitress are very kind, efficient and don't ignore you.

Have lived in the area my whole life and just recently found out about this hidden gem of a breakfast restaurant. This goes pound for pound against any breakfast joint you'll find in the Dayton area, and at a lower price than most! With it being a smaller restaurant, you may wait a bit for a seat, but you'll realize soon that the wait is 100% worth it!

Ate here a couple Sundays ago after church with my boyfriend. Definitely a small town hole in the wall diner. We both got veggie omelettes. Honesty probably one of the best omelettes I’ve had. They even offered hot sauce! Frank’s or Tabasco 🙂

The food is good, but the service could be better. I noticed the Sunday counter waitress makes a lot of off-the-cuff remarks to customers that she should keep to herself, This includes her opinion about a tip that wasn’t big enough (in her opinion). Patrons really aren’t interested in hearing this, and they remember how they have been treated in public. Maybe she needs to remember that a tip is always optional.

While on our way to Michigan for the weekend we found this little hidden gem on our way! If you’re looking for breakfast cooked the way your grandma did, you gotta try this place!
Plenty of food choices at a very reasonable price.
We will definitely stop again if we are in the area!

Great comfort food. Usually good service. However, today, our waitress was very stressed, cutting us off & complaining about customers & pretty much everything the entire time - it made for a not relaxing brunch. I literally felt myself breathe better every time she left the room. It was just a very bizarre experience.

It was great! We went on a Friday morning and there wasn’t a ton of people but still quite a few.

Great diner stop! A must visit in Tipp. The food was delicious and was as expected for diner fare.
