Visited on a Sunday morning — it wasn’t busy at all, and we were seated in a really nice private room with a TV, which seemed promising. Unfortunately, things went downhill quickly.
We asked if we could watch the Browns vs. Vikings game, and they couldn't promise it would be turned on. It never was. Our food came out before we had silverware, which was odd. Steaks were not cooked as ordered, and omelets were missing ingredients.
Also — no drink menu for brunch? That’s a big missed opportunity. Definitely not what you'd expect from a place trying to run a successful brunch service.
When we brought our concerns to the manager, his response was disappointing. He joked that we should’ve brought our own silverware and claimed the room we were seated in “wasn’t supposed to be in use.” So why put us there, especially when there was clearly space elsewhere?
It felt like there was no accountability or empathy. We left frustrated and unimpressed.
We ended up going to Toledo Spirits afterwards and had a great time. Focaccia’s is another spot we’ve had consistently good experiences with. I wouldn’t return here — too many better brunch options where they actually care about your experience.

Overall, this was not a great experience. Here for a birthday gathering and the service was slow, orders were not accurate, food was cold or overcooked, and the manager was less than accommodating and could not even pretend that he cared. I REALLY recommend that you select another establishment for brunch.

The food was over cooked from the burgers to the eggs. The poached eggs were like hard boiled eggs and the burgers were ordered at medium but came very well done and burned in one side. The staff were very pleasant
Our server was super attentive, polite and helpful (outstanding)! We had hoped to overlook the river while eating breakfast but drapes were pulled. We looked under the drapes and windows were very dirty - might be reason drapes were closed . Food was ok.
Calamity... brought wrong meal and sat it down in front of me then proceeded to pick it up snd take to a different table all the while tgey were completely confused about whose meals were whose. Forgot my husband's toast. His meal was very good. I do not like omelets however his was latge and good. The potato casserole was delicious but under cooked. My food was not good. The sausage were awful! Dry grayish white on the inside oddly shriveled. Bland French toast with barely a sprinkle of powdered sugar. There were hardly any guests in the restaurant. Definitely not worth dining there! Thankfully the staff were friendly outside of the grill person yelling out orders and irritating the waitresses and me.
Highly recommend reserving a table at Brim House for brunch! Warm and welcoming service from all the staff -- from the hostess to the server to the woman who brought out the meal. Everything we ordered was delicious -- tasty brioche French toast, excellent chicken and waffles, even the bacon was perfect. The restaurant has stylish booths and large windows for pleasant views of the city. Best brunch we've had in a long time -- thank you!
I ordered a breakfast sandwich that was almost $20 and it came on bread that was so hard it made my gums hurt. The eggs Benedict were OK. One thing that was good was the coffee because we drank it for about 40 minutes before our food came. The ambience was amazing. It is decorated well and the staff was nice. I just won't go back because the food was expensive and not worth the money for the quality.
Overall a solid place to get breakfast if staying at the Renaissance. I ordered the Poutine for breakfast which had a nice combo of tater tots, sausage, gravy, and eggs that came on top. My wife got an omelette with everything in it. She said it was good and the cheesy potatoes were good also. Some service issues with toast not coming out, some omelettes that weren't prepared correctly for some people in our group. The physical aspect of this space is fine, easy to hear and carry on conversations.

Service was slow. Idk if the waitress was having a bad day or what but she rarely came to the table to check what was wanted or needed. My wife ordered the brunch Caesar with no croutons as she has a gluten allergy.. the food takes forever to come and they run out of food. They bring my wife the salad and at that time they say they ran out of eggs.. so salad was missing the egg and had croutons that she opted to just pick out instead waiting forever for it to be remade. Asked for mimosas it was mostly OJ. Would not recommend.

We discovered this restaurant thanks to my SIL, and I'm so glad that we have dined here. The restaurant is very beautiful, the seating is comfortable, and the service is excellent. The food is fantastic... I am officially addicted to their biscuits and gravy, and everything else that we have tried was delicious. We don't live far away so we don't really need to stay at the hotel, but I would stay here for the breakfast. We will be back!
Fresh food.

The French toast was mediocre- the $15 mimosa was ridiculous. My fault for not checking the price
