3rd time was NOT the charm. I waited a long time and a family member wanted to give it one more try. Against my better judgement, we all went back. The food was beyond bad!! It was served room temp, tasted funny, and everyone at the table (there were 4 of us) were very disappointed in the quality. The tequila in the margaritas is cheap quality and weak as well. Complete waste of money. I won't be going back....ever. It's a shame bc the place used to be one of the best in Toledo.....now I would put it in the bottom worst in Toledo.
4 weeks later....the good food didnt last long. Smh
2nd time here with my family tonight. The food wasn't good. The funky dip was very disappointing as were the enchiladas. I ordered extra cheese on the food and there was no extra, but I was charged for it. The service was ok. I had a very upset stomach later in the evening. I won't be going back anytime soon. Waste of money....

I went there recently with my family. I hadn't been here in about 15 years and wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, as was my family.
Our server was friendly and helpful. We ordered the burralada, Funky dip, queso, enchiladas, burria tacos, Orange Creamsicle, Watermelon, and mango margs were good. The atmosphere was very nice as well. I hope the great food and service continues.

Arrrived at 12:30 - waited to be seated - only one person for restaurant & bar. After bringing our beverages & salsa/chips- she disappeared. Seated two other parties in same area after our arrival. Took other parties order, ignored our table. After waiting for 20 minutes, went looking for her- no where to b found. Five minutes later, she brings out the orders for the other parties, ignores us & walks away. At 1 pm - I leave $10 on table for beverages etc & start to leave. She stops us as we are leaving -saying she is coming to get our order. I said why? U served two other tables before us. Reply: I am the only one here & doing my rounds- what ? We r at a table in same area. Despicable service.

We got the Taco Bar catering pack for an at-home party. The spread was impressive - beef, chicken, all the toppings, shells and chips. The Taco Bar was a hit - it all tasted delicious. While its supposed to be for 20 people, with a few more taco shells it could serve 30 people. The best part is the value - lots of good food for an amazingly low price. I recommend the Taco Bar catering pack for your party.

My food was ok. Chimichanga was not cooked properly. Portion was small. My hubby's fajitas were burnt. Our server was awesome. We even got to witness a live Karen situation! More than likely won't go back

I had the chimichanga dinner. I used birria meat for my chimichanga. The birria meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. The tequila sunrise using 1800 gold tequila....muy excelente!

Just picked up some takeout from Carmel’s and of course, all the food is hot fresh and amazing there Birria tacos are probably one of the best or if not the best in Toledo,
Service always fast and friendly And they do have a wide variety on their menu, which is all good if you like Mexican food then you’re gonna love Carmel’s give them a try.
