Excellent service and interesting use of the old Cricket West space. It's kind of almost tapas, if tapas were large plates to be shared but usually not shared. The food is very good, but often has unnecessarily sweet elements you need you ask to be put on the side.

This place was such a refreshing option for a Mexican restaurant! The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. Our server Wendy was awesome and attentive. We had the cazuela, which was perfectly gooey. The pastor tacos and shrimp tacos are excellent as well. To finish it all off, the cinco leches cake is massive and flavorful. 10/10 experience and will be coming back for more!

How lucky we are to have a Mexican restaurant in Toledo that is so authentic and flavorful, with the freshest ingredients and hand crafted cocktails. This place is truly a gem. I’ve been to Mexico many times and this even blows away a lot of the food I’ve had there. The servers are attentive and the owners are always super personable and have a hands own approach to their business, it truly shows in the result! Probably the best brunch in Toledo as well!!!!

I’ve been here in 2 modes : couples date and family feast .. *My experience is half valid as I’m a vegetarian but I’m sure that as much care to ingredients and attention to flavor alchemy goes into the carne and pescado..
- as a couple, you can take a journey of flavors with their vast array of home made salsas including a well fiery habanero and I bet if you behave real well they’ll bring out the real artillery.. the vegetarian tacos are well flavored and delicately balanced just like how Mexicans flow with their never ending mountains and winding, surprising roads that take you to all sorts of rich and unique places along with a carpe diem vibe, yes today is the day to live so you can’t go wrong with their dependable Margarita and I have a side affair with Mezcal so I will also seize the moment with “El Deseo” ..
With kids they offer a menu for los chamacos as well as homemade Agua Frescas, the Jamaica is the best ( and sweetened with agave ..)
I write these words and they take me to a deep place in my heart of which Mexico is part of ! Viva Mexico C .. !

Deseo is surprisingly amazing. Tucked into Cricket West, very subtle, but the food and service are above average. The prices seem overly reasonable.
