Amazing flavors and great presentation. Chips were thick and crispy; variety of salsas each were unique and flavorful. Tacos are good proportioned and filling. Margaritas were fresh and smooth. Limited seating, but good decor. A little pricy, but not your typical Mexican restaurant

Cold metal stools. Menu description was not what I got. Only my main order came first before our appetizer and waited a fairly long time before my friend's order came. Our server did not really care to explain the menu knowing that it was our first time there. Maybe our experience would have been better at the bar as all the other ratings. The eggs on my Huevos Rancheros were basically raw. When I asked, they said that's how it's supposed to be. It didn't say that on the menu and the server never asked how we wanted our eggs cooked.

This place makes me so excited. If you know anything about Toledo, this place in my opinion, is the Kengo Sushi of Modern Mexican. The inside is smaller, but if you sit at the bar, you get a personalized approach to the experience. Our bartender was incredible and I wish I remembered his name, but every dish and drink we ordered, he explained to us in great detail. That guy could sell me on anything. I’m going to be honest, I don’t even remember the names of the dishes we had, I just have pictures, but everything was INCREDIBLE. And let me tell you about my drink experience…Cheap tequila can mess me up bad. If I go to a basic Mexican restaurant and order a margarita or two, I feel awful after. HOWEVER, I had two drinks at Deseo, and I felt amazing. I should’ve been off my a** but I felt great and I didn’t feel like a pufferfish. Deseo uses top shelf tequila for all of their margaritas, they make their own purées, syrups, etc. I used to work at a craft cocktail bar and the mixologist did the same thing and you could absolutely tell. Deseo has set itself apart from every other Mexican restaurant in Toledo in my opinion just for that. I cannot wait to bring my boyfriend next time so he can experience how great this place was and I think I might be even more excited to have the spicy pineapple margarita with the ice cube in it that when it melts it’s like a second spicy smoky drink! So so good.

Since moving to Toledo from San Diego, I have been looking for quality Mexican food and I can finally say that I have found it. Everything was FANTASTIC. Service was just as phenomenal as the food and drinks. Tried the mango mezcal cocktail, arrachera tacos, salsa trio, and ended the night with a margarita. Everything was a 10/10. We went on Saturday around 5:00pm and they were pretty busy already. They were able to accommodate me as a walk-in but reservations are strongly encouraged. Really looking forward to having this be a regular spot for lunch or dinner.

It was my first time visiting, but my friend has been here many times before. All week a coworker had been hyping me up about the first visit and it was some well deserved hype. I loved the atmosphere of the place. We had the arroz verde, quesabirra, and a couple of items off the unlisted specials; something with pasta and another with scallops. It was a different dining experience from what I am used to, but I liked it. I liked that we were encouraged to share food. The items coming out at different times allowed for us to take our time, chitchat, and enjoy the items prepared without worrying about them getting too cold.

If you're looking for an awesome food experience this is the place. The owners and staff were great ? They have the most amazing brunch and drink menu. Their version of an eggs benedict is minding blowing the flavors and presentation were phenomenal. Highly recommended it to all my foodie people out there.

Went last night. Expensive. Everything was good but not as good as the last time we went. The bathroom situation there is pretty wild. How they all get away with community bathrooms for all those businesses is pretty weird and it stunk.
Absolutely delightful dining experience. Excellent portion size, very tasteful with great brunch selections. Attentive and friendly staff. Great place for brunch. We’ll be back for a dinner soon.

This place is AMAZING. Food is so well thought out (great variety of seafood dishes) and the drinks are fresh and delicious. Nothing like it in Toledo. I would highly recommend making a reservation as the place is small. Although my favorite spot is the bar, with Tim and Tom. The staff is great, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to watch.

Based on the reviews, I was excited to give this place a try. The layout is a bit odd, a bar downstairs and one large table or you. Can hike the stairs to the second floor which has an odd assortment of tables incredibly close together. If I was rating just the margarita it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, the food is pricey and a miss. Neither dish we ordered I would want to return for. The cheese in both the tacos and the dip was one partially melted blob. The cost of 4 tacos, a dip, and 2 drinks with tip was approximately $70. I hate to say it, but I left hungry and unsatisfied.

Located in a former upscale strip mall. The main part of the restaurant is up a flight of steep stairs. It's upscale food but it just misses the mark. There were no flavors that I am craving to return for. The tacos were filled with a huge lump of coagulated cheese and the shell was falling apart in my hands and almost impossible to eat. The app that I ordered said queso but it was actually the same cheese served with veggies on top. The chipotle sauce was bland, mild and forgettably flavorless. Our server offered no explanations or suggestions about the menu. The highlight of my meal was the Spicy Strawberry Margarita. Maybe the best I have EVER had. I ordered 4 tacos with no sides, one app and two margaritas; the bill was almost $100 with the tip. I'll be back for that Margarita though.

The food was amazing and came out promptly for such a large group. The drinks were delicious and I would highly recommend the Pina margarita.
