As nice of a staff as you'll find anywhere. One of the family came out at the end of our meal. Chimichanga the size of my head. Everything tasted incredible. So fresh. Mild and hot salsa were both great.

We found this place after visiting the Toledo Zoo. We were very pleasantly surprised with the food, the cleanliness, and the great service! Our server, Damari, was extremely welcoming and attentive, setting the vibe for a great dining experience.
We strongly recommend El Tipico for a great meal at a very reasonable price. Clean, great food, and excellent service are hard to beat.

This is a great Mexican restaurant and the best part is nearly all of the meals on the menu can be veganized. You can customize the filling. They have vegan cheese and vegan sour cream. The staff were also very nice. I've eaten here a few times over the years when I've been in town. I tried the enchilada topped with Violife cheese and filled with bell pepper and onion and Violife cheese. Refried beans and Mexican rice were on the side. Updated from previous review on 2025-09-16
We went to El Tipico tonight to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Best Mexican restaurant that I have been to. The food was absolutely delicious , service was great and the atmosphere perfect. I had the puff tacos, guacamole dip and chips/salsa I’ll definitely be going back.

I've eaten here twice with my nonvegetarian sibling, and both times impressed me. There were many vegan options, including with plant-based cheese and meat, and I had trouble deciding. We both ended up with burritos with pea protein crumbles, enchiladas with vegan cheese, refried beans, rice, and, for dessert, a decadent chocolate chimichanga with chocolate sauce. In addition, the atmosphere was nice, and the servers and management were very friendly.
Best Mexican restaurant around! Been here several times food is always on point! Great service wonderful owner!

Absolutely excellent food and service! They were super great with food allergies and everything was so flavorful! The beef tip burrito and ground beef puff taco were our favorites. Wish we lived closer so we could come more often!

Yeahh…this “burrito” was not worth anything remotely close to $12… thanks for ruining my lunch. And why was it so cold and wet?
EDIT/REPLY TO MANAGER: that’s very kind of you to offer a refund or other option, but I think you need to fix your online ordering platform - I just double checked and it wouldn’t let me add anything else to a burrito - it says “choose one filling”.
I assumed that burrito would still include other normal burrito fillings, especially since I paid two extra bucks for Barbacoa. $10 is so overpriced for one little filling that could potentially just be beans, and an unwrapped tortilla. And please don’t try to argue that a burrito should be wet because I ordered Barbacoa. I’ve never had a greasy wet burrito from chipotle, and they even suck at wrapping burritos. You’re a Mexican restaurant - take some pride in your food and actually wrap your burritos instead of tossing a tortilla on some meat like a blanket. And why was there a dollop of Barbacoa on top like some weird garnish?
