Yeahh…this “burrito” was not worth anything remotely close to $12… thanks for ruining my lunch. And why was it so cold and wet?
EDIT/REPLY TO MANAGER: that’s very kind of you to offer a refund or other option, but I think you need to fix your online ordering platform - I just double checked and it wouldn’t let me add anything else to a burrito - it says “choose one filling”.
I assumed that burrito would still include other normal burrito fillings, especially since I paid two extra bucks for Barbacoa. $10 is so overpriced for one little filling that could potentially just be beans, and an unwrapped tortilla. And please don’t try to argue that a burrito should be wet because I ordered Barbacoa. I’ve never had a greasy wet burrito from chipotle, and they even suck at wrapping burritos. You’re a Mexican restaurant - take some pride in your food and actually wrap your burritos instead of tossing a tortilla on some meat like a blanket. And why was there a dollop of Barbacoa on top like some weird garnish?

They are a legit restaurant that caters to gluten free diets. Staff was very friendly and explained how they prep the food for dietary needs. Nice restaurant with a long history. Must be good to last five and half decades!!

The fact that the ENTIRE menu can be made vegan is so so so cool. We don't have to be relegated to a little subsection if we're lucky! It was hard to choose from all the options. I'll definitely be going back to try more things! this has jumped to the top of my list for Mexican places in town. I feel like overall vegan options have dwindled in the last few years or so, so it's seriously commendable to be dedicated to providing equivalent options on the menu!! Also, the horchata is vegan, which is rare because most places use a commercial mix that contains milk. Yay, horchata!🌱💕

Our favorite go to Mexican restaurant. We have been going here for decades. Consistently the best! Service is always top notch. It is a cozy, friendly place to dine; recommend reservations. We recently had El Tipico cater an event for us. It was perfect. Food arrived on time and hot. We had a variety of item and our guest loved every one of them. El Tipico has been in business for 57 years! I remember my parents bringing me to El Tipico when I was a kid, but I hadn't been there in over 30 years. I learned a few months ago that they offer vegan options and I had to try them out again. The staff are SO incredibly friendly and they're mindful of dietary restrictions which is super helpful. Yall. The ENTIRE menu can be made vegan!!! It's so nice going to a restaurant and having everything on the menu as an available option. The food was absolutely delicious!! In fact, it was SO good that my boyfriend and I went back again the next day!! Not only that, we ordered a dozen vegan tamales and all the toppings to go, and now I'm on day 3!!! I am absolutely obsessed with El Tipico and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!!

The restaurant had a charming and homely atmosphere. The staff were amazing—kind, considerate, accommodating, and always happy to answer questions. The menu is primarily gluten-free and organic, and with some substitutions, all dishes can be made completely gluten-free. They even have a special protocol in place for people with Celiac disease. The food was fantastic; it was the best Mexican food I have ever had and possibly one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I have never written a review before, but this place was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share my experience.
