The food was good and hot, frozen Margaritas were stronger than the tower Margaritas. Server/waitress was pleasant and took our order with a smile, and was attentive to our needs. All in all, EL Viejon is a great place for Mexican food and drinks. Will be going back again.

First, let me say this is solely on the food served and not the service as this was takeout.The food that was taken home was absolutely horrible. If there could be negative stars there would be. The food they sent us home with was disgusting, soggy, and tasted old. Ended up being thrown away and some items weren’t even tasted because of how bad the rest was. Being that both us of were having GI issues (cramping, vomiting, diarrhea) within 1-2 hours of eating that food I definitely think there was something messed up with that food. Idk who was in the kitchen on the night of April 7th 2024 but they need out. Which is unfortunate because I’ve had the food at this restaurant before and it was good so going back there I assumed would be the same. The worst was the quesabirria tacos which was all around horrible. That meat must be expired or something and that consome couldn’t have been fresh. The tortilla was so soggy and gross and tasty cooked with old oil on a dirty skillet or something. It’s hard to describe just how gross and how badly they ruined a great dish like quesabirria tacos this time. Whoever was in the kitchen this time needs kicked out and whoever was there a few weeks ago needs to be back in because if the person from this time is there all the time this place couldn’t possibly stay open with the terrible food they’re dishing out. 3 weeks ago the food was good enough to make me come back and this time it’s so bad that I never want to again and couldn’t confidently recommend this place to anyone.

It was my first time there. Food was good. The strawberry Margarita was on the small side for it to be a jumbo. But it was good. I'd definitely go back though.

Man O Man because there’s many cars in the parking lot my expectations were through the roof. However, I was very disappointed with my food. The chicken & steak for my fajitas were almost like plastic rubber?

If this is the place that replaced Dolly and Joe’s and the other place, I hope this Mexican restaurant never leaves!! Super fast service and the food was piping hot!! Had the Hawaiian fajitas and that was an awesome experience!! Fajita mix in a pineapple is genius and is quite the experience!! Also they still had Sierra Mist which was discontinued and it still tasted heavenly!! Starry is trash versus it. Definitely recommend this restaurant, if you want good Mexican food with unique experiences like fajita in a pineapple, this is the place!

Super fast service and very friendly staff. They never skipped a beat on anything. Food was tasty and very reasonable. Didn't know what to do with the Mexican pizza appetizer though because it was overloaded with toppings and cheese making it sloppy and gooey. Would have been nice to have a good crunch to it.Parking: Be careful walking up to front entrance, there's rose thorns sticking out onto walkway. Almost impossible to not run into the thorns.
