So let me begin their review by saying this used to be one of my favorite places. I’m a Sylvania native but come visit the folks from Columbus. From December 2022 to the present we’d often go there when I’d come up and I loved the food every single time. The specials were always good, steaks always cooked to the proper temp, crispy fries, excellent soups, the list goes on. I usually tired something different each time and can honestly say I ‘never’ had a bad meal.
Until tonight. My folks told me that ever since the patio opened the quality of the food has gone down, so much so that their usual weekly visits became less and less frequent. But I wanted to hit up my favorite place when I had the chance to come home. All I can say was I was very disappointed. My father and I both ordered the prime rib which was bland, fatty, under-seasoned, and screamed for an au jus or gravy. We both got French fries which were barely cooked through and greasy. My mother order the pulled pork special which was greasy and sweet potato fries which were floppy and soaked through with grease, and my son got the burger kids meal and the patties were essentially hockey pucks. I dont know if the kitchen staff has changed, if there’s a different chef, or if the staff just can’t handle the extra orders from the patio, but I’d love if the owner reassessed, retrained, or otherwise reads this review and makes some changes. We were all very disappointed tonight, and honestly don’t know if we’ll be back anytime soon. It went from one of the most perfectly consistent restaurants to one we can’t count on to cook fries properly, and that’s a darn shame.

This place was terrible. Flies everywhere. Even in my glass of pop was a nasty fly . Mashed potatoes was ice cold, gravy was terrible and pork chop was burnt. Waitress never checked on us. No refills. So disappointed in this place. Won’t be back.

Fairways is a great restaurant with high quality food, great pricing, and great service!! In addition to their menu of many comfort foods and standards, they have good daily specials with items not on the menu! Owner Jeff Kaminsky (always working his tail off) and all servers are very friendly!! They have good music on the patio during the warm season. Fairways is a tremendous value!!

My husband, friends, and Family have always been customers of Fairway but Jeff has created and added a “gem” to Sylvania’s Township! Fantastic food menu, super welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, reasonable prices, plus a fabulous Bar. The best Long Beach libation I’ve ever had in any restaurant all over the country! NEVER DISAPPOINTED!

It was suggested to my husband and I that we try Fairways and oh boy are we glad we did! We sat at the bar... Had great service and our food was SO GOOD! I had the special Chicken Caprese and my husband had the Cod dinner. Very tasty! The other patrons were friendly, which was nice. We also ran into another couple there for the first time as well. We're hoping they enjoyed their first visit as much as we did!
