This saddens me because my dad use to love to eat here since I was younger, and I hadn’t been here in years but never had a bad experience in 20 yrs prior decided we were ordering take out. Let me tell you I regret ever talking my family into ordering here. I finally decided to drive out the way to get dinner for my family and it was absolutely horrible. I don’t care what the reasons for the quality of the food were. Hell it could have been because it was close to 9pm but I would have rather them not take the order then serve us oily over cooked and sauced mess. All the food was over cooked and chewy. The breading on all the meat was soggy from the extreme excessive sauce put on everything. Only thing edible was the sweet and sour chicken because it was unsauced. Even fried rice tasted old. The crispy beef was so soggy the white stuff they put under it for decoration was soggy and drenched in sauce. I was extremely disappointed that this was my family’s first time eating Flower Drum and damn sure will be the last. Like how do you not even have filling in the crab ragoons!! They were free and we couldn’t even enjoy that. Waste of 70$. Would have been better off eating at the other three Chinese food places we past to get to there. No restaurant should ever serve this type of nonsense and get away with it. It was takeout so that’s all I really can review is the horrible food. Update: it is 6am and everyone in my house has been throwing up since 2-6 am after they ate the little bit that they tried to from flower drum This was a horrendous experience.

We love the Flower drum! The food is consistently hot fresh and delicious. It’s the best in town! Prices are great and the portions are big! We like sweet and sour, lo mein, orange chicken, and salt bake shrimp!

Ok, I have been going to Flower Drum for years and in those years the food had been delicious, when I have a taste for Chinese food I come here. However, my visit yesterday will be my last. Idk if they have changed cooks or what but it doesn't taste the same at all. I was very disappointed , these restaurants in Toledo are really going down and for that reason, I really don't eat out that much anymore, I prefer to cook at home rather than waste your hard earned money.
This is the 2nd time I’ve had it within 4 years. The first time I tried it, I was not satisfied whatsoever with the food but it was recommended by two family members of mines, so I gave it a try. The quality was bad enough for me not to go back again. Fast forward years later I tried it again. This was my last resort due to it being Christmas so everything was closed. When ordering on the phone the woman was very nice and informative of the menu. When picked up I was place on hold for a little while she took orders over the phone. The wait wasn’t too long. But when I got home and opened my container , I was shocked to have the food I had. I ordered mix meat lo mein with sweet and sour chicken and an egg roll. I told her I wanted the lo mein combo. But when I opened up my food . I saw rice and an egg roll with my chicken. I was confused because I didn’t order a rice combo. (I don’t eat Chinese,Korean etc rice) so I gave it to my kids. One of them liked it but the other didn’t even touch it. My fiancé tried it and he spat it out saying it had no taste/flavoring at all and the chicken taste the same. My lo mein noodles were pale and after a while start to taste like beef noodles(yuck), my meat and vegetables were not cut up so I had to chop it up myself, the chicken was bland and over cooked, and the egg roll was salty. I took a few bites and threw it away.

Quality/taste is not the same as before. We ordered a "hot" (seasoned) dish, and it had 0 heat. The Hot & Sour Soup has changed. It does not taste the same as before.
