Very good vegetable omelet. Hash browns are inside. Toast is pretty basic - white or wheat.

The property that houses the Fresh Start Diner has been home to many restaurants over the years. It's located in an industrial, rough around the edges, blue collar neighborhood just north of the Old West End. It's a bit of a desolate area, and I suspect the reason it's been so many different restaurants is due to the lack of traffic. There just aren't many people passing through this part of town. That said, if you live close, it's worth a visit. Fresh Start does a great job of making you feel at home. We experienced very friendly service, and the ultra classic American diner food was perfect and predictably prepared. In addition to standard fare, as we were leaving we noticed a sign encouraging you to customize your burger in a variety of ways, including adding jalapeí±o poppers. We also noticed they had a HUGE variety of hot sauces, easily the most I've ever seen at a restaurant. These little details make me look forward to coming back.
