We always enjoy heading downtown to have dinner at Georgio's. The setting is intimate and very easy to have a nice conversation over dinner. But, I'm not going to lie, we go for the food. It's fantastic! Parking is easy too.

I ordered the halibut special and it was cooked to perfection! The service was top notch. If you go, I hope you are lucky enough to have Dao as your server.

Drinks, food and service are all amazing. They always have great specials in addition to their menu. Service at both bar and dining are amazing.

My son and I are always treated to a wonderful experience and made to feel as a valued member of their family with personalized service. Our meals are always fantastic. This time we enjoyed the most amazing soft shelled crab and lobster bisque and started our meal off with their wonderful fresh bread and pate. We will definitely be back and encourage you to enjoy elegant dining at a true Toledo gem.

Went on Saturday for my birthday. August was our server and did a great job! Food and drinks all were top notch also. A great place to go, especially for a special occasion.

Sometimes not updating the interior of a longtime establishment is endearing and sometimes it really needs updating. Georgio’s falls into the latter. The bread was tasteless, the salad unremarkable and the entrees utterly disappointing. This establishment will close when those without taste buds stop going.

Overall, this place was not a good experience. When you go to a “high class” restaurant, every aspect of your meal from the bread to the drinks to dessert should be amazing. This was not my experience at Georgio's. The bread and liver weren't very good. I ordered the lamb chops which were small, completely unseasoned and 70% bone. The beef ordered by my fiancé was seasoned well with a tasty sauce (nothing to write home about but significantly better than the lamb chops). Both entrees came with a basic side of an unseasoned boiled potato and bland veggies. Dessert was obviously not freshly made but just reheated. With a plethora of options around Toledo and Perrysburg, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. We spent the same amount on dinner that we would at the high quality dining presented elsewhere. For the cost, this place is not AT ALL worth it. The only saving grace was the server who was knowledgeable and very attentive.

Where do I start?
Took 30 minutes after we were sat to get menus, after that the food took almost an hour which is fine for a restaurant like this, but the problem arises with the quality of the food. 44 dollars for 2 “lamb chops” that didn’t have more than 5 bites of meat on each. Ordered them rare, one came well done the other came medium at best, the flavor was alright. The vegetables? Embarassingly sad, a half skinned potato and some random assortment of garden vegetables with no seasonings? Just boiled or steamed? It was sad. The beef tornadoes were cooked so inconsistently, one was medium and the other was well done when ordered rare, and another same sad vegetable situation.

The one redeeming thing about this restaurant is the french onion soup.

The open table app allowed me to set a reservation while the restaurant was closed. Very disappointing to drive there for a first time date with my spouse to see a paper sign on the door “closed for vacation”.

Service was slow and waitress seemed disinterested. Waited about 10 minutes before anyone greeted us. Ordered drinks that sat on the bar for another 10 min before they were delivered. Our waitress started taking our orders and didn't offer specials until I asked if there were any (there were). Lobster bisque was tasty but not hot. All four of our meals were just ok with the exception of my friend's chicken which she said was tough. The bill came and there was an extra $2 charge for the Dijon sauce on the “Dijon Chicken”. When we questioned it, we were told the cost of Dijon mustard has gone up so they had to charge $2 extra for it. They ultimately removed the charge, but we were shocked to see it in the first place and thought they should be embarrassed for even trying to slip it onto the bill without forewarning us. This used to be a really nice place to eat downtown for a special occasion or upscale night out, but we felt the quality and service have gone downhill and it's sadly no longer worth the high prices on the menu.

We had an amazing celebratory dinner. As always, the food and service was amazing. If you are looking for a great experience, be sure to try out Georgios! It remains a 5 star experience. Wendy & Axel M.
