I think this place had a food truck at the ‘25 JazzFest at Glass City Metropark… best turnip greens I’d ever had in my life!! I’m kicking myself for only buying the greens!!

The food is very delicious. Enjoyed the turkey/dressing, collar greens, mac and cheese, yams, and corn bread. Not alot of room for sitting if you plan to eat here, there is a booth and couple of chairs.

Little private owned restaurant more of a carryout style but we sat and ate. Food was amazing. We stopped on our drive back from Monroe, Michigan! Highly recommend the baked chicken, yams, baked mac and cheese, and cornbread all made homemade!! Best authentic soul food we've had!

I have to start with hospitality & Spirit off the Charts. My husband and I drove from Dayton Ohio on the 4th of July. Food was good! Our favorite was the ribs & potato salad we will be back!

Food was terrible!!!! My husband had fish, mac & cheese and green beans. The fish wasn't breaded, just drop the fish in the grease, cooked it too hard, mac & green beans were salty (people have high blood pressure) and I had smothered pork chops, they were overcooked and broke up I don't know if it was pork chops, greens were too spicy. All people don't eat spicy food. I won't go again. Hey the Kool-Aid was good.

Josephine’s Soul Food in Toledo has a friendly staff and a cozy vibe. It’s best to order ahead, as the wait can be long. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and full of flavor—definitely a highlight. The mac and cheese is okay but could be creamier. Unfortunately, the peach cobbler is very bad—it’s undercooked and not enjoyable at all. Stick to the main dishes, especially the chicken, for a satisfying meal. Corn bread is great.

Very good cooking. Ordered cubed steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, cabbage and cornbread. So tender and tasteful. Also got the peach cobbler- which was yummy. It was very busy when I got there but they greeted me immediately and took my order. It was out within about 10-15 min. Highly recommend!!
