We had a wonderful evening at LaScola for my sons birthday! The atmosphere is always a fun change of pace. Our waitress was phenomenal, thank you Tessa. The food was wonderful as always, chef Moussa is certainly a treasure. I met Elaine for the first time this evening and it's so rare to find someone as kind and genuine as she is. Between Moussa and Elaine they solidified our continued love for an amazing Toledo staple! If you haven't been we absolutely recommend it for a nice evening out! The food was delicious. Our waitress was helpful & very good. The atmosphere was pleasant. This isn't a family type restaurant. They have the best fettuccine alfredo in all of NOW. Their home made warm bread was excellent along with a fresh delicious salad. The three of us really enjoyed our dinner.

La Scola has delicious Italian food! Just like my Aunts used to make when I was a kid. You can't miss the wonderful aroma the minute you step inside. Every time I visit, I am pleasantly surprised when I order a new dish that I haven't tried before. The staff is very friendly, too!

About two weeks ago, I met up with a friend who came in from out of town. So, naturally, I brought him to La Scola. I've been here before, but this most recent visit was amazing. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately by Duane. He ensured that he would take care of us and he did just that! Duane made us great martinis prior to our dinner. He made excellent entree recommendations (I had the Veal Saltimbocca. My friend had the San Marzano Pasta - both of which came with warm bread and a light, delicious house salad) and even recommended a great glass of wine to go with our meal. I will certainly be back as soon as I can and my friend said he will too! I'm always very pleased when I leave here. Go check out La Scola!

So......where do I start. We showed up around 7:30, after the dinner rush, and were seated immediately. There were two of us, and after being seated in a nearly empty restaurant between a table of 8 and a table of six, we requested a booth for two.

Absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is romantic with very friendly, well spoken staff. I was impressed with the presentation of the establishment first, but was blown away by the food once it arrived at our table shortly after we ordered. My girlfriend got manicotti and said it was one of the best she has tasted. I got the spaghetti marinara and was delightfully surprised by the flavor and texture of the sauce and the perfectly cooked spaghetti. I highly recommend coming here, if I were local I would be here all of the time.
