Dirty Chai and a vegan strawberry pop tart... both excellent
I don’t get to the area often, and thought I’d try something new to me. The breakfast wrap was delicious - the sauce that came with it was not at all spicy, but sweet and tasty. I had a plain hot latte, which looked & tasted great. Plenty of room inside to sit and work or visit. It’s a cute block of buildings, too.

Plate 21 is not just a coffee shop, it is a place for community. As a South Toledo staple, they have great coffee, food and welcoming staff that greet you as soon as you walk in the door. I love attending their various community events including book club, run club and weekly yoga. Highly recommend for a breakfast to catch up with a friend (I recommend a breakfast burrito & a brown sugar latte), lunch with a co-worker (I recommend a turkey wrap and peach-pear smoothie) or a glass of wine with your partner on the patio. Honestly, if you have not been yet, what are you doing with your life?! (pictured: Con Miel Cappuccino)

The cafe is very clean and bright. It is cheery and welcoming.
Unfortunately, the coffee was made from stale beans and was super acidic. Frankly, it was a step up from truck stop coffee, but not a giant step. That said, it was
At 815 on a Saturday morning, the coffee hadn't been made. The sugar table hadn't been filled up. No creamer set out. Maybe I was too early, but in my experience, you make sure the front dining room is customer ready before you do anything (closers should have stocked things)
I would normally pass this as a one time thing, but I come into town so infrequently and this is my experience every time I'm here.

A must try cafe! Tons of amazing vegan brunch options- I got the vegan breakfast wrap. The wrap it is in had the perfect crisp. I got one of their specialty spring lattes, the lavender lemongrass Jasmine latte, I believe. One of the best coffee beverages I’ve had in a long time. In a quaint, quiet neighborhood, so it is great to eat outdoors on a sunny day. Highly recommend!!

This is a cool place to have coffee, have a quick bite to eat. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free friendly. The staff was amazing when I ordered and made a suggestion based on other coffee house experiences. Very knowledgable and kind. Would definitely go back.
Vegetarian options: Many items were vegetarian or vegan and could add meat or even make it gf.
Dietary restrictions: I eat gf and had many choices!
Parking: Parking is on the street. There was plenty but I wonder how it is on a weekday when the other businesses are open..

It was my first time trying this place and it exceeded my expectations! I wish it was closer to my house because I would come every weekend ! My coconut latte and honey ginger iced coffee were amazing and the staff were very friendly. Only tip is to make a large chalk board menu or something so people don’t crowd over the hand held menus

We came here during our visit for the eclipse. It's not always easy to find a good selection of dairy free/vegan but Plate 21 had me covered! Breakfast options were excellent (Vegan Breakfast wrap and Vegan Burrito) and the drinks (Plum Oolong Latte and Orange Mocha, both with oat milk) are to die for!Update- We went back today on the way home. Get the vegan chocolate chip cookies. Do it.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options are clearly labeled and there are many.
Dietary restrictions: I'm lactose intolerant and have changed to a mostly vegan diet to help manage. Plate 21 is geared towards people with those needs. Staff was knowledgeable and had many food and drink options.

Nice place to work and have a good pot of tea. The service is excellent that they offer free water and bring it to your table. Lovely local store if you don’t want standard Starbucks store everyday.
Kid-friendliness: Changing station in the restroom.

Beautiful space with strong coffee and great food. The breakfast burrito even came with chips and salsa which was a pleasant surprise. The cortado was small but it is definitely worth it! The poptarts are decadent! I’ll definitely come back!
